I have heard a number of people say how grateful they are for this service, that because of Germantown HELP they can eat tonight.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the comments made by those I've helped set up a delivery for.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... getting food to hungry people.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... eager to help.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... feed the hungry in Montgomery County for years and years and help other non-profits by passing along its good fortune!
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... we had the means to help more people.
- If I ran this organization, I would... put out notices for donations (food and money) in more newspapers and newsletters.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... getting enough food to distribute.
- One thing I'd also say is that... I think there are a lot of people who don't even know we're here.

I am very pleased with my volunteer work for Germantown HELP, Inc. When I was looking for a place to volunteer about 2-3 times a month I stumbled across Germantown HELP, Inc. online. It was actually only one of two places who replied back to my emails looking to volunteer. It turned out to be a great fit for me. It is perfect for people who have a small amount of time to volunteer, but want to do something meaningful that makes a difference. I am able to set my own schedule for the day and time I can help. If I cant make it that week then I just send an email to let the director know. The work is easy and people in need receive emergency food help. As I am a delivery volunteer I am able to see the people who benefit from this great charity. As long as I am in the Germantown area I see no reason why I will not continue to volunteer here. I am not privy to where all the resources go, but it appears that they try hard to stretch every dollar they receive.

- I've seen the results of this organization in... the families that receive the food. It's humbling to have to ask for free food and the families are almost always grateful.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... knowing my time goes to helping others in a meaningful way.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... all very friendly and happy to be helping this nonprofit.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... serve more areas, more needs, or give team up with other similar nonprofits in the area. Or it would probably give this money to other nonprofits as I don't know it could spend $10M.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... If I had more time to devote to help.
- If I ran this organization, I would... promote it more. Not that I really look for the promotions but I do not see any either.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... resources and volunteers. But I would imagine most nonprofits need more of both of these things.
- One thing I'd also say is that... if you have even just a few hours/month and live in the area then I'd highly recommend volunteering here.
