Gateway for Cancer Research has become my number one charitable cause in recent years. The fact that 99 cents out of every dollar donated goes directly towards research is huge because that means that my donation is making a difference in the lives of cancer patients, rather than professional fund-raisers. Gateway's focus on translational cancer research is also appealing because it means that the research I'm helping to fund is going to benefit patients today rather than years down the road.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their president, Lynette Bisconti, is a cancer survivor.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very friendly and committed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help more researchers to get their research out of the lab and into a hospital setting where it could help cancer patients today.

I joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America as an Oncology Information Specialist in June 2009. I had the privilege of meeting Lynette Bisconti, the President of Gateway for Cancer Research. She explained that she is a cancer survivor and passionate advocate of patient-centered cancer research that offers new and innovative treatment options to cancer patients as quickly as possible. Gateway focuses on cancer research that can have an impact on cancer patients today as well as 10 years down the road. The type of research they fund bridges the gap between the laboratory and other larger studies, keeping cancer research progressing toward a cure.

kind-hearted individuals who identify and pursue new and promising clinical studies and progressive treatments leveraging cutting edge medical technologies and practices.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

significantly contribute vital information in the search for a cure to all types of cancer and continue to impact patients immediately.

Gateway for Cancer Research is a fantastic organization that is dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. They fund research and trials that has direct impacts for cancer patients, now! Gateway is unique because 99 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to research. It is very rewarding to know that your donations can make a direct impact on finding a cure for cancer.

Contributors to Gateway for Cancer Research are connected to real life patients and their doctors. Nearly every penny collected funds innovative research that involve patient trials. This means those afflicted with cancer receive hope today - not just hope they are helping future patients.

Gateway For Cancer Research is an amazing organization. 99 cents out of every dollar donated goes directly towards research protocols which make a difference in the lives of patients.
