I HAVE BEEN SERVING AT GATE FOR TWO YEARS. I SAW HOW THIS ORGANIZATION SERVED THE COMMUNITY AND HELPED WOMEN OF DIFFERENT AGE, SOCIAL BACKGROUND AND RACE, ALL THESE DIFFERENT WOMEN HAVE IN COMMON A PROBLEMATIC PREGNANCY . GATE ALWAYS ACCEPTED THEM WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION AND OFFERED THEM THE RESOURCES AND COMFORT THAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR.
The Great!

THE FACILITY NEEDS MORE SPANISH TRANSLATORS AND A LARGER FACILITY TO ACCOMIDATE ALL THE CLIENTS.
I have been with GATE PRC since our center was just an idea. We welcome clients with open arms and hearts, to walk with them through whatever pregnancy situation they are going through. We let them know this is their haven away from turmoil and try to help them through that. No matter the race, religion or creed we are here to assist them.
I love our moms and their precious babies. I can't speak Spanish; but, I have a special relationship with them and we have come to somewhat understand each other most of the time.

I would love for us to have more space and Spanish Interpreters everytime our doors are open.
I learned about the center through a couple of young ladies I met at a church function. I sat down with them randomly and we began chatting.. I asked a few questions about their babies and they told me that they came to GATE and it had been such a blessing for them both. I had no idea what it was so I went online and found the website. I had recently moved to the area and was looking for a way to serve in the community, and to meet people with similar interests. I filled out a volunteer form and met with the Director and loved them all immediately. I began volunteering once an week and love every second. The girls are so appreciative, and have such a good relationship with the women who direct the group classes, and work in the resource room. Its so nice to see that they have a place that they feel comfortable sharing whats going on in their lives, knowing it doesnt leave these walls. Its a blessing to them to have the facility to help suppliment the needs of the baby... and we are here for them... we love and care for them as though they were our daughters, sisters and friends. Its a beautiful place to be and I have so much gratitude for everyone who walks through these doors.

I started volunteering at GATE in September of 2009 as a project for a college class. The class ended that December, but I never left. My experience as a volunteer at Gate has been such an amazing and rewarding experience. I am energized by the caring staff and wonderful girls that take advantage of GATE's services on every visit. I cannot imagine my life without GATE!

More room! We have outgrown our space!
Having experienced a crisis pregnancy in my own life when I was 27 years old, I wish I would have known more about crisis pregnancy centers. Instead, my path took me into the doors of an abortion clinic. It would be almost 10 years later before I would ever visit a crisis pregnancy center and learn of the wonderful work being done to help women in such a position. After participating in a post-abortion program through a local center, I became a volunteer counselor. A crisis pregnancy in my own family took me away from counseling for a while. A few months ago, a client of GATE gave her testimony for Sanctity of Life Sunday at our church and that passion for these women stirred inside of me to return to counseling women in crisis.
Since becoming a volunteer at GATE, I have seen a love for these women that only comes from a true and sincere heart for what they are going through. GATE offers counseling, clothing (babies and mothers to be), classes, Bible studies, diapers, accessories and many other services to its clients. But the most important thing we can offer is love, patience and understanding to women.
Come and be a part of a wonderful ministry!

My hope is to see a post-abortion counseling ministry open up through GATE. Women who have experienced an abortion come from all walks of life. The effects of having experienced an abortion can be paralyzing. Though women do not just line up at the doors to freely offer this information, my prayer is that we would be given the opportunity to speak love and grace of God into their lives.
GATE is a wonderful non-profit organization that strives to minister to the needs of women and their babies in the community. GATE shares the love of Jesus Christ with others and provides support to women in crisis situations. When you walk in the door at GATE, you feel the love of Jesus Christ.

It is my prayer that GATE would find a bigger location as they are extremely cramped. I am sure it will continue to grow.
Volunteering at Gate means I get to work with a team of women who really care about the ladies in their community that are pregnant and need help either emotionally or financially. We get to give encouragement, help them learn about caring for themselves and their babies, and feel like we are making a difference in the lives of these women. And during all of this, hopefully bringing the message of how Jesus loves each and every one of them and desires a life long relationship.
