Frontier Horizon made it possible for us to meet a child we had only known through pictures and letters. I saw a picture of the then 12 year old girl that we sponsored. They made it possible for me to travel to visit her and her to stay with our family on 3 occasions. The opportunity bond with her made for an easy transition when we adopted her...and while adopting Vita, we adopted two other teen girls. The friendships that our family has forged with people from FH and affilliated with them are irreplacable. The care and compassion that is shown by Vinny and the staff is exemplary!

The first time I found out about Frontier Horizon was when I was 9 years old living in an orphanage #4 in Odessa, Ukraine. Vincent Rocini was in charge of the program, well at least that's what we all thought at the time. He wasn't only trying to get as many kids adopted as possible but he was also helping us to have the necessary things in life like clothes and shoes. He is truly an amazing man! He did a greater impact than that. He has changed my life forever.
My situation was a little more difficult than other kids because I still had a birth mother who just got out of jail and wanted to make sure I wouldn't get adopted. She has not tried to be in my life and my dear grandmother was the one who actually raised me since I was a baby. That is why I didn't actually get adopted until I was 13 years old.
Vinny tried to help my situation and we became really good friends!
I finally got adopted at age 13 and I am still thankful to him for changing my life dramatically.
I am so glad to know there is such a great nonprofit organization that cares for children who's chances in becoming a successful adult are very limited. Today, I live a great life and have every opportunity in life I could ever imagine and it's all thanks to Frontier Horizon.
I want to thank them for everything they are doing and I myself plan to help them out next summer when they go to Ukraine to help kids like me!!!

I am Tanya Bain. I was adopted with the help of this organization. When I was 10 years old it was the first time I met Vincent Rosini and his team. From the beginning I new he was such a great person to be caring for us orphans that no other cared for. I got to go on summer vacation and winter vacation when I was at the orphanage. One particular person that I staid with had wanted to adopt me. She was a single mom so the agency would not have it. I was as well in another family for the summer vacation and that family wanted to adopt me as well. We got it all straightened out and I was adopted in 2002. Since I got adopted it has not been easy but it sure is much more than anyone could ever give me in life. Vincent Rosini had opened up his heart and mind to help us be more than just orphans. He believes that everyone should have a family. He is such a great person and God Bless him for all the hard work that he does. I am not 24 years old, going to college, working a full time job. Life would probably not be this nice if I didn't get to have Frontier Horizon Inc in my life. I am so glad to know this organization and so proud of all the people that have gone through it and made it. God Bless Frontier Horizon and all the hard work they put out.

I know the president of frontier horizon since i was 6 years old, the organization changed my life in all the ways possible!. I became a translator for them when i was 14 years old. It allowed me to open my eyes to new opportunities and help other people.
I also have participated in the hosting program, it always amazes me how a great life changing experience this is for the kids, and also for the hosting families to have a foreign child join their family and give them a chance to see the world through a third world country child's perspective.
Another program i am really proud of is the christmas wish program. In developing countries is so difficult to get gifts for chrismas, so to be able to see the kids' faces when they open their gifts is just priceless!!!

it all started 2 1/2 years ago when during a bible study, God spoke to my heart about adoption after 10 years of infertility, miscarraiges, and failed IVF. I was 52 years old and over the "kid" thing, happy with my life and ecstatic about my book coming out. I had travel arrangements for the year booked for signings etc. But... God! I received a call about hosting a young boy fromUkraine, they were searching for a forever family for him. I did the unthinkable... I asked for a photo. That was the end of a long journey from no kids to 5 children adopted and in our home in 12 months!! They range from ages 2-11 at the time of the adoptions, 7 trrips to Ukraine, new "extended family" created through Dima, our facilitator who I will call "Hans" in book 2, but don't tell anyone, he's like my brother for sure, and Maggie, my "twin" sister, and all the others that work with them in Ukraine... directors, translators, even the SDA!!! You can't imaging how our lives have changed and I must say, HOSTING IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO FOR ADOPTION!!! Once the children are in your home for a tried 3 week to 2 month stay over Christmas or the summer, the love story begins, and God makes a way into YOUR heart and the hearts of these hurting lost children who so desperately need family. Yes love, but FAMILY which means- love, structure, boundaries, an international community support (frontier provides) and..... TIME!!!!! But what else do we have to do with our lives? When it's all said and done, what i want to hear when I meet Jesus is.... "Well done good and faithful servant" versus... "How many books did you sell?" !!!
The adventure of a lifetime awaits you my friends... and I mean lifetime! As my own NYC Italian parents of 7 children always say, "From the womb to the tomb" but i'll edit my line to read, "from the orphanage to the tomb" ! God bless those who make the decision to step up in any form, donations, adoption, hosting, and advocating for the hopeless and helpless children of the Ukraine through Frontier Horizon. You will NOT be disappointed.
Blessings,
Deborah A. Benner

I have been slow to write a review here, not because this organization does not deserve it, but because finding the right words to describe its contributions to me seems to be the bigger challenge. Just like many of the reviewers before me, I was first introduced to this organization through Vinny; I suppose at that time, I had no capacity to comprehend that Frontier Horizon was anything bigger than Vinny, but I was glad to learn that it is an organization full of many kindhearted people volunteering their time and resources to help us. As the time went on, multiple times during the year they would arrive to provide us with clothing, necessities, and a fun time. Later, with the help of just as kind families, Frontier Horizon began to take some kids to United States for a summer; I was lucky enough to have been chosen to go as one of the first groups. It was an experience unlike any I could have imagined, I fell in love with my host family, and they liked me enough to invite me back again for the winter holidays. The following Spring Frontier Horizon helped with the organization of adoption plans, and I was on my way to America for an adventure that would not have come along had it not been for Frontier Horizon. I am now getting ready to graduate in May from the University of Virginia, one of the nation's top public universities; as I reflect on the last couple of years, I cannot help but be grateful for the opportunity that I have been given as a result of the boundless generosity of Frontier Horizon and the many people involved with it. Thank you, - Alexander Owens.

My first memories of meeting people from Frontier date to my childhood, about 10 years ago. I remember just how happy I was, along with many other kids at my orphanage, to hang out with Frontier volunteers, plays games, and feel like somebody genuinely cared about us. These are just warm memories of the amazing Frontier people that dedicated so much of their time to us. But this is only a small (although very significant) part of what Frontier does. So many lives were changed due to the efforts of this organization: many, many children were given the opportunity to have a family. I will say that out of about 20 children in my class, more 3/4 were adopted before we graduated. And this is only in my class! They are the happy young adults today, who have a place where they belong, a place where they are loved. Frontier has given to many children (including some of my closest friends) the biggest gift a one could ever get: a family.

We used Dima Subotenko, a staff member of Frontier Horizon as our facilitator when we adopted our first daughter from Ukraine in 2004. Dima told us about Frontier Horizon's hosting program, so we subsequently decided to host and or sponsor many children since then. Hosting provides orphan children with the chance to become part of a family for 3-4 weeks during the Christmas season or the summer. They receive much needed love, attention, good nutrition, clothes, hygiene, medical/dental/ vision care and the chance of a lifetime to possibly find a family that will love them forever. At very least the plight of these children becomes personal to all who meet them when they are here and they can be helped in country to have a better future. Instead of just viewing a picture or a T.V screen, people meet the orphans and become sensitized to their desperate circumstances. At the age of 16 these children leave the orphanages with no housing, family, financial support, education or job prospects. Most end up in prostitution or criminal activities to survive. Some end up taking their lives in despair. Such a life of deprivation is difficult for most of us to imagine until you meet the children and hear their stories....What strikes you is that they are just like your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and you cannot conceive of them suffering in these ways. Those involved with Frontier Horizon have said it doesn't have to be this way and they have done something about it. God willing many will join them in their noble and courageous efforts to help those who cannot help themselves so that someday they in turn can help others.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Through Frontier Horizon we met our third child Anya. After only one year she is an almost straight A student, involved in dance, tennis and piano and has adjusted to our family like she has always been with us. There are many Anya's languishing in orphanages through out Ukraine just waiting to be given the chance to belong and flourish. How can we thank Frontier enough for giving these children such an opportunity- to know that they are cared about and wanted, so they can have hope and a future.

The only change would be to have many more involved in this great organization by giving their time, money and networking skills to save the lives many more children. The need is so great but the workers are few...
Frontier Horizon is a great organization run by wonderful, caring people who just have the welfare of children in mind (and in their hearts).

We participated in the Spring Hosting program with Frontier Horizons, we found the hosting program well run with excellent people. The staff were very helpful through the whole experience from beginning to end.
We found the the organization really does do a lot of good work that directly affects the lives of countless children in so many positive ways.
We consider the experience to be one of the best we have had for our entire family
