What better way to keep Marty and his music alive for all generations. Being on the West Coast, many folks just don't want to be connected to "country music". I want to show everyone what "country music" really can be. Listen to Marty sing, watch his vidios, and realize that he is a great entertainer, family man and fan pleaser. Keep him alive, he died too young, future generations need to know who this great entertainer was.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Promote the good that comes from our country, too much negative exists. Music is a world wide media, Marty performed in and was loved by many countries, lets remember the good that comes from the USA thru Marty's music.

For the past 12 years, I have been honored to be part of the band that has played for the tribute to Marty Robbins, a singer, song writer, author and actor, and a native of Glendale, Arizona. The Friends of Marty Robbins, a non-profit organization, has put this show on stage under the watchful eyes of Juanita Buckley, the founder and preaident of this group. Many people have supported the tribute, and have DONATED their time and energy to keep Marty's memory alive. For all the years that this tribute was held in Glendale, and now in Willcox, Arizona, performers from as far away as Illinois (4)have paid their own travel and other expenses just to be part of this tribute. The main focus of our Entertainment Director, John Edmondson, has been to put on a clean, family show of approximently 3 hours of nothing but Mart's music, as well as recruit younger singers who can carry on this tradition to the future. Sincerely, Denny Sarver 3 Wheel Drive Band Glendale, AZ Feb. 17, 2010

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching the progress of the tribute show grow to what it is today, and seeing the Marty Robbins Museum in Willcox come to fruition.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to find backers who could provide advertising for the show.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the great people I've come to know who have dedicated themselves to this organization.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

exceptionally dedicated to the memory of Marty Robbins.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

afford to complete the Museum, have national promotion for the tribute, and be able to pay all the performers , at least for their expenses.

Ways to make it better...

we could have a sold out show every year !

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finding more young talent who are interested in keeping this non-profit alive far into the future.

One thing I'd also say is that...

no one in the group is discouraged about the lack of funds, and will continue to do everything they can to keep Marty's memory in front of the public.

The Friends of Marty Robbins Headquarters, Museum and Gift Shop are now located in Willcox, Arizona. I didn't realize when I joined FOMR, how involved I would become. This organization is dedicated to "Keeping Marty's music and memory alive" Founder and President Juanita Buckley has worked tirelessly with love to bring to the public an exhibit that reveals not only the artist and his contributions to country music but the man, Marty Robbins. There are no employees, only volunteers and members who help with fundraisers, promotional ventures and the annual tribute concert. These events assist in maintenance of the museum building. I recommend this organization to anyone who wants to preserve the music and memory of the multi-talented Marty Robbins,a country music history maker and legend in his own time.

Couldn't be better

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding and marketing. FOMR is a 501 c 3 organization totally depedent on public funding.
