Friends For Life Animal Sanctuary
143 W Vaughn Ave
We believe overpopulation is the root cause of most forms of animal suffering, including neglect, abuse, homelessness, and the most visible form - euthanasia. We believe in the most proactive approach to overpopulation - spay and neuter. Preventing the unwanted lives will most effectively end the symptoms associated with overpopulation. Friends for Life maintains several spay and neuter programs.
With the current overpopulation crisis, preventing unwanted births is not enough. Friends for Life also maintains a shelter and an active adoption program for the unwanted animals already born. In addition, we maintain two community programs designed to help low-income families keep their animal companions through times of crisis. We also maintain programs designed to educate the public on how to properly care for cats and dogs and the importance of spay and neuter.
