The Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn Illinois is wonderful. They have a very dedicated group of staff and volunteers that put in an enormous amount of time and effort to make sure that the wildlife that comes to the center are healed and released. They also donate a lot of their own money to keep things running. I have attended their annual dinner for the last 2 years and I try to attend every event they have. Please donate to this great group. Thank you.

Great wildlife center. They take in and save every animal they can. The volunteers truly care about each and every animal and provide the best care possible for them. Most nonprofit volunteers stop working when it is bedtime and these volunteers end up having to take litters of squirrels or other animals home to rehab and give feedings to throughout the night... one word for that: dedication. I am proud to have them in my community looking out for wildlife.

FVWC is a vital organization for the Fox Valley area. It provides a very needed safe haven for injured and abandoned wildlife. The staff is dedicated to the cause of nurturing wildlife animals, so that each can be returned to it's natural habitat.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing babies thrive, injured animals heal, and being part of successful animal releases.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Feeding and caring for the wildlife babies: cottontails, squirrels, raccoons and bird-lings.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring, concerned and well educated in animal care.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand it's facilities and readily buy the needed equipment and supplies that are needed on a daily basis.

The attention that wildlife receive in this very humble facility is remarkable. The volunteers and staff devote many hours to care and rehabilitation of those creatures. As a retired veterinarian I'm so impressed with their level of knowledge and devotion. More impressive, is the the fact they accomplish so much with limited resources providing an excellent education program for children and adults in addition to the animal care.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand and modernize its facility on the land where it's located including construction of large flight cages for raptors and other birds.

This is a wonderful and vital organization in our community, and they do so much good with such shockingly little resources. The girls who work here are outstanding with the animals. They never seem to run out of energy or heart. I have volunteered here, dropped off wild animals for rehabilitation, and adopted a pet bunny who was domesticated — and he is an absolute love! I wish there were more organizations like this one helping wild animals in need.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the vast number of animals who have come in (and successfully out!) of their doors. They treat animals of all kinds and either get them well so that they can be successful on their own in the wild, or they find a place for the animal to be cared for.

Fox Valley is a dedicated and wonderful organization that is made up of such sincere wildlife lovers and advocates. They work tirelessly, volunteers and staff alike, to ensure that every single animal in their care receives the attention and enrichment it deserves. The volunteers and staff are incredible people with infectious passion for the mission at hand. All they need is steady support, volunteers and donations and they will continue to do the impossible every season.

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center is a terrific community center that is more than needed in our area. The center offers a place to bring injured and orphaned wildlife. It is run with not only lots of love and passion for wildlife, but with a high educational rehabitation level for each and every species.

Fox Valley WIldlife Center in Elburn, Illinois is a wonderful organization that cares for injured or orphaned local wildlife, usually as the result of human carelessness, habitat destruction, and many other causes. The volunteers and paid staff work tirelessly to take care of many different animals with the goal of releasing them back into the wild, often with very limited resources. If you care about the environment and wildlife, this is a great organization to support that will make you feel good about improving the world right in your own backyard.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

how it has been able to release hundreds and hundreds of animals successfully back into their native habitat with minimal resources as well as educate children and others on wildlife enjoyment and the importance of caring for wildlife and their habitat.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue to follow the current mission of helping injured and orphaned wildlife in our community as well as continue to address funding opportunities and work to increase awareness of the group and our mission in surrounding communities.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that it is a great way for me to give back to injured and orphaned animals that often become victims due to human action (such as habitat destruction) which I am unfortunately partly responsible for. Also, the group members are always very appreciative.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly, helpful and seem very devoted.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

have assurance that it would continue to exist for a long time and serve the community as needed. Also, it could improve it's existing facility with better animal cages, improved vet care and availablity and hire additional staff to fulfill the mission.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time and finances to help this organization! Honestly, I have had very positive experiences with this group.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

continuing to find reliable financial resources to promote and fulfill the mission of rehabilitating injured and orphaned animals so they can be released back into native habitat. Also, getting the word out to local communities on who we are/what we do.

One thing I'd also say is that...

there is not really any other organization in this area that is so available to care for wildlife. It would be a tremendous loss if the Fox Valley Wildlife Center did not exist!

I am currently a veterinary student and absolutely love this place. Staff is great and the way they care for the animals is outstanding! People bring in animals that are injured or orphaned and this facility rehabilitates them with the intent to release them back into the wild! Great place to go in Kane County if you find a wild animal that has been harmed or is indeed orphaned! Knowing that most of the wild animals are brought into the facility because they have been harmed by humans really makes it worthwhile that they now have a second chance at life!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

knowing that these wild animals were impacted by humans in some way makes it very worthwhile to get them to the point of being re-released!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

absolutely amazing and provided a great deal of information on future wild animals and what was going to be done with the animal brought in. I had the opportunity to re-check on the status of the animal as well.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand its facility and get new cages and a new building to better the wild animals and the environment they would be kept in. It would also allow the facility to get ample food and medical supplies to care for the wild animals.
