As a former donor, I was very disappointed by the BOD's decision for new leadership. I have volunteered with this organization on and off for over five years and since the new leadership has been in place, I have not received even the smallest thank you for my time. They seem to be moving from a priority on quality of care for adults with DD to solely a money-driven focus with inexperienced people making the calls on important decisions. I also recently heard they let go of some of their most experienced staff who were involved with the organiztion for 20+ years and that current staff are very unhappy with the commanding nature the organization has taken. The direct care line is what made this agency so respected; it is a true shame that is gone now. I will continue to donate my time and money, but I will do it elsewhere with an agency that puts people first.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
remove current inexperienced leadership and revamp BOD; get back to a focus on the people being cared for rather than the bottom line profit
