Reviews for Forgotten Angels Rescue & Education Center Inc.
They do wonderful work & a great source of information...from a proud mother of a recured pig :)
I'm very aware that Lana Hollenbrook and the volunteers at Forgotten Angels are amazingly dedicated and responsible animal rescuers. These folks work tirelessly and fund-raise tirelessly for the good of mistreated or neglected pigs--another species put at the mercy of our cruel species.
I highly recommend this shelter as an ethical and well-provisioned rescue centre. Its staff is dedicated to finding quality forever homes for pot bellied and other so-called 'pet' pigs. Five stars all the way!!
This is a wonderful organization that gives all of its donations to help the pigs in need. They all are truly dedicated in helping all animals.
I would like to share my experience with pot belly pigs. I grew upon a farm in the Piedmont section of N.C. We had lots of animals, chickens, cows, hogs goats.and horses. The hogs were used for meat.We had an extremely large boar named big Red. He was the most gentle and never stayed in the hog lot. He slept in the barn. I never got to handle any of the babies unless it was time to neuter the baby boys. I hated that job. I got my first little pot belly pig December 28th 2015. My son named her ReuBen. She was the runt of the litter. Any time I have had a question or I was so frustrated I could cry, all I had to do was get in touch with these wonderful, kind, patient people and I would get an answer . I am so grateful to have found them. They are worth their weight in gold. Thank you so much!!!!!
I have had a good deal of contact with Forgotten Angels Recue and Education Center (FAREC) through pig information and chat sites. I am keenly aware of the tireless work Lana Hollenback does rescuing, caring for, and re-homing animals in need. Lana is a dedicated member of these sites and works with them to find forever homes for the tragic numbers of rescued pigs who have been cruelly treated or abandoned. This work is crucially important at a time when pot belly and other domesticated or 'petterized' pigs are crowding animal shelters and rescue centres throughout the United States and Canada.
The work that Lana and other animal rescuers do is vitally important and without the support of concerned people and funders, their super-human efforts will be in vain. FAREC under Ms. Hollenback's direction has saved thousands of animal lives and continues its mission with love, dedication, and great skill.
Please support this crucially important and humanitarian organisation to continue rescuing, caring for and re-homing animals in need.
There has never been a organization that's loves to help more than this one. They are always there for any animal that needs help.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

I have known Lana and others in this terrific group for 20 years. This nonprofit has, and will continue to do, a professional and personal service for a lot of potbelly pigs and other precious animals who have been thrown away through one means or another. They do it all with love in their hearts for each animal they work with. The group is dedicated to providing almost every service available to the animals that come in... from arranging spaying and neutering to transporting to other locations. Congratulations to everyone involved in Forgotten Angels Rescue, they are earning stars in their crowns for the excellent job they are doing.

This rescue operates in a sustainable manner, giving every animal the space and care it needs...but what impresses me most is hte continued outreach and time spent saving animals elsewhere in the country by acting as a facilitiator for transport, spay, fostering, and finding "forever homes" for animals that would otherwise suffer terrible fates.

forgotten Angels is one of the best rescue organizations out there. They are so caring towards the animals they rescue, and they give them a forever home. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and caring. I wish there could be a lot more shelters and rescues with this degree of excellence.
