Rating: 4.96 stars 69 reviews
Location: PO Box 406 Granby CT 06035 USA
Results: Since we opened our doors in 2003 we have rescued over 345 chinchillas. Many were in neglectful or dangerous enviroments. All the chinchillas receive medical care and are now living in healthy, clean and loving homes with new guardians through adoption or are permanent residence here at the rescue. We spend individual time with all the chinchillas to help heal and rehabilitate them to be able to trust people and show their wonderful, spirited and intellectual personality. We provide education about chinchilla care to current chinchilla guardians and those interested in becoming new ‘chin’ parents. Over the years we have periodically expanded our rescue and we are now one of the largest full time, rescue only (we do not breed) chinchilla rescues in the US.
Target demographics: We travel throughout the New England region of the country. We also travel to Southeastern parts of NY.
Geographic areas served: CT, MA, NH, VT, RI, Eastern NY

I remember the first Chin that the founder of Forever Feisty Chinchilla brought home. She had her own, tranquil, climate controlled room. Imagine the amazement to see this carried over into Forever Feisty Chinchilla Rescue. The rescue houses over 50 Chins, all pampered and addressed by name. The wooden living quarters contain all the necessary accoutrements for a healthy, playful life. In addition to the perfect climate and continued tranquil environment, the Chins have a separate play area for time outside of their living quarters. All of this accomplished with donations of both time and money along with the natural caring of Forever Feisty Chinchilla Rescue's founder. It is both an honor and a privilege to have been asked, and to serve as a board member of this generous organization.
