I have supported For the Love of Horses, Inc. since adopting Pilgrims Promise in Nov. 2002. While I cannot consistently donate, and the amount isnt great, I know that it will be put to good use in the care of the horses. There are several PMU mares requiring special hoof care and feed, and Mary provides the very best for them.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The care of my PMU foal prior to adopting him. He was a special needs colt, and was given the best of care to help him on his road to recovery.

Was your donation impactful?

Definitely

How likely is it that you would recommend that a friend donate to this group?

Definitely

How likely are you to donate to this group again?

Definitely

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2012

What specific problem, purpose, priority, or project prompted your gift?

Because I rescue privately, I know the cost involved in vetting, feed, farrier work to get a horse sound. Pilgrim gave me great joy, and I wanted the organization to continue to rescue and provide sanctuary for the PMU horses.

Why did you make your donation at this time?

It was made in Pilgrim's memory. Had it not been For the Love of Horses, Inc., I wouldn't have had Pilgrim ~ how sad that would have been!

What would you tell others about this organization?

I frequently share the link to the website to educated people about the cruelty against the PMU horses, be they mature mares on the pee lines, or the foals who are considered 'waste', and are sent to killer auctions.
