I've visited the sanctuary many times and have found it to not only be quite hospitable to the birds, but an amazing site to see. Patricia is a very warm hearted woman who gives her life to care for her birds and children. For finding a place that can help a bird find peace and the attention it needs; there's no better place than here.

My girlfriend and I have been long time volunteers for the Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary. Their mission to rescue unwanted and abused birds has made a difference all over the United States. There have been many times where birds arrive in bad condition and are nursed back to health health, then introduced in one of the many aviaries onsite. By not fostering or adopting out, these birds have a chance to live happy and healthy lives. Keep up the good work FEBS!

This is the most caring place of exotic birds I know of and I have visited a few. My beautiful sulphur is there and I know she loves being with others of her kind. My circumstances did not allow me to keep her, I was the third human she lived with. We are so glad she has a permanent home.

Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary took in two of my Macaws when I could no longer keep them due to family illness. Now they have each bonded with a copanion and are flying free in the Macaw flight aviary. They are living as Macaws were meant to live, not in a timy cage. This is a wonderful organization!!!

As a prior breeder of African Grey's, and with having rescued numerous large parrots over the years, it was a relief to find an organization dedicated to providing permanent homes for parrots outside of the pet trade. The economy hit hard in my home, and I needed to find the right place for my Moluccan Cockatoo and Citron Crested Cockatoo. After much research, and speaking with Pat, I knew that this was the right home for my girls. And having seen my parrots happy and thriving, I know I made the right choice. FEBS is well run, and every member/volunteer cares about the well being of every bird in the sanctuary. Thank you Pat!

I began volunteering with FEBS over two years ago and I currently have 3 parrots there - including my beloved Umbrella Cockatoo Polly. She had begun to lay eggs over and over again - along with feather plucking and screaming at certain times of day. I boarded her at FEBS when my family would come to visit. On her last time boarding I noticed that her plucking had stopped. After discussing this situation with Pat - we decided it was best to make her a permanent resident. She has stopped plucking and now has a sweet boyfriend to spend her days with. I couldn't be happier! She still recognizes me - and still calls my name when she sees me walking around the Sanctuary. I am currently the Secretary on FEBS board of directors. I volunteer, speak at local events, and educate the public about bird ownership.

I moved in across the street last year, and fel in love with all the birds that were in their care. I go over from time to time to help feed and play with a lot of birds in their care. It is such a wonderful place to be. the staff is so nice and really care for our feathered friends, all the cages are clean, with lots of perches and toys for the birds. In closing I would like to say that the staff at febs are the best.

I moved in across the street from febs in nov. of 2011. After about a week I really wanted to go over and see what this was. I found a parodise of all different kinds of exotic birds. I just fel in love with the place, I started volunteering my time to help feed and interact with the birds. What a great place to place a parrot, they get to spend their time with other birds and still get the attention from people, which they crave. Placing a parrot here will be the best decision and bird lover could make.

FEBS is such a wonderfull place to place your bird , It's hard to put into words the love and care and affection that pat and her staff and volunteers put into at febs . The birds can be birds there and get the love that they need at the same time . Its a very clean and safe place for them and pat has so much medical backround you can feel assured you bird is in good hands .. I dont know what would happen to all our featherd friend if febs was not there for them , they are going to expand to help take in more birds so donations are greatly appriciated . Thank you michele
