Wonderful group. These people are doing a great service for cats and the people who tend to the care of feral cat colonies. These people receive A+ from me

A unique charity that is like no other in the nation that I know of. They are the single greatest weapon against homeless animals in Los Angeles. The people who work there are tireless in their quest to tackle this enormous problem. Without this group, the city would have countless more homeless cats. They do great work!

FixNation provides an invaluable service in the LA area. I've been feeding a feral cat colony for several years, and each year the food attracts unfixed females who then have kittens. FN provides traps and expert spay-neuter care, including explicit instructions for aftercare. The work hard, they give advice about caring for cats and neighbors who might not be sympathetic to efforts to maintain a colony. LA could use 50 FixNations, and I hope that they get the recognition and support they deserve.

I got a rescue kitty who turned out to be older than her size... my family and I feel in love with her and decided to keep this last one of the litter (the others were placed), but she quickly started to show indicators she was going into heat. With limited monies, we didn't know where to go and what to do. The animal shelter directed us to FixNation in Burbank -- what a blessing! They took really good care of her and the stitches from her spay were the best I've ever seen -- I've had foster kittens I've had to take elsewhere and let me tell you, never again!!!! Our kitten has the smallest, cleanest incision mark ever! And she is healing well -- unlike the last litter (they had so many complications from the wound bleeding to infection). I'll bring all the fosters here! Thank you! The entire experience was great -- everyone was super friendly too.

Our family just moved to a home in West Lancaster and quickly found that there were several feral kitties hanging around our back yard. We kept being awaken in the middle of the night by the sound of them in heat or mating. I went to Petsmart to see if I could speak to anyone about some sort of assistance since I would see cat adoptions there all the time. I found some brochures on "Forgotten Angels Cat Rescue" and "Fixnation". I contacted Cathy at Forgotten Angels first and she put me in touch with Liz Cava at Fixnation who made me several appointments in case I wasn't successful right away and also gave me links to her videos with tips on how to trap. Cathy set me up with a "trap class" in Palmdale and they provided the actual traps and covers free of charge. As of today I have successfully trapped all our ferals (total of 4) thanks to Liz and Cathy's advice and assistance. I can not say enough about how great these programs are. I had to drive an hour each way (Burbank area) a total of 3 trips but it was well worth it. I have given 2 separate donations to Fixnation and will do more in the future. They work so hard for little or no money at all and have to put up with all kinds of craziness. LOL! They really do work on the public donations so please donate anything you can for this wonderful group. I will be donating to Cathy as well for providing the traps that allowed me to get them all. I appreciate everything these people do for these poor creatures. If I find anymore I will do it again. Thank you so much for your help!!!!!

I already had 5 cats of my own and was feeding 3 to 4 strays, then my friends mom died, and she was feeding two cats and they kept having babies, and she was elderly, and diabetic, and not well, and her cats and kittens were starting to run wild, her son just dumped them on my porch, and left food, and drove off, It took me two weeks to catch them all and seperate them, so i could tame them to find homes for the kittens, and keep all of them I did nt find homes for, and I had the 4 females fixed at fix nation, they did a great job, all of my cats are fixed. and they helped me out a whole lot, I now only have 10 cats. I found good homes for the rest. I am thankful for Fixnation. I tell everybody about their program. I have ran into several woman in Palmdale and Lancaster who are on fixed incomes, and are letting their cats multiply, They need help. They dont drive, their on fixed incomes, and their cats they feed are running wild. You need a special program for the elderly. I am having my own financial issues with irs taking more than half of my wages, and i am having to work two jobs. So I am not able to help these woman. IRS is putting me over the edge of the breaking point. DEBBIE

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I paid them, but i was greatfull because I was overwhelm with cats, i had upto 20, I ve only in the past feed a few strays and had them fixed and taken them in and 5 of my own which were strays. So you could say, i adopted the strays in the neighborhood,,, the ones that were left when someone moved or somehillbilly in the neighborhood did nt fix their cat and it over populated the neighborhood.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Have this service for all of LA residents. and help those ladies who dont drive and are elderly pick up thier strays fix them and return them to them. And Let those gang bangers the bloods let them know if they put one more kitten in the microwave, thats what the old wheel chair lady told me, her word against the bloods in her neighborhood, that their will be bad thing done to them if they hurt one more kitten or feed herkit to their pitbulls. this is what she told me. I am not violent, but i want to be.

How did you find this group?

Some customer told me at work, i have always had my pets fixed, but two ladys told me horrible stories at a wallmart one day. One lady couldnt afford to fix her strays, and she was loosing her home, and the other said the bloods in her neighborhood were hurting her kittens, she had many, she to didnt drive and was sick, in a wheel chair, and fueding with the bloods. Theres people who need help. I have two jobs, the elderly , low income, people need help. I couldnt help them, i have my own problems, IRS is one of them, and they make your life hell. its like child support but they never go away.

What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?

I tell everyone about their program, but you know, I have done all i can, and I am over the limit already, I do not want to be a horder. I only have to many because my friends mom died, and i would want someone to place my pets if i die. Can you make something to where these old ladies who are on fix income and elderly or wheel chair, someone needs to catch their wild cats and take um to get fixed. and return them to these ladies. I would love to help but Irs is makeing my life hell now.

Fix Nation is an unbelieveable Clinic. Without their services all of us who trap and care for feral and Homeless Community cats would be overwhelmed. I hope they are able to open another facility closer to Downtown in the near future.

I had a growing problem with feral cats multiplying in my backyard. My daughter found FixNation on the Internet and they saved me from a guaranteed explosion in feline population. FixNation helped me more than I can explain and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with everyone there, to the point where I missed them after fixing the last cat in the colony. I cannot imagine how bad the feral cat situation would be without them.

Words can't express the dedication and hard work of this organization. Feral Cats are the forgotten felines and the castoffs of uncaring humans. Fix Nation advocates Trap-Neuter and Return. It also educates people on how to take care of these beautiful creatures and how to control the cat population. They have wonderful volunteers and clients that have dedicated their time to helping with the feral population. With this organization, there has been a decrease in euthanization rates at the shelters .

There is no other non-profit like Fixnation. They are one of a kind, yet they operate conscientiously and with high standards. They have little to no competition, yet they deliver every time. I hope Fixnation is here to stay as they offer a much needed service. I also hope that other non-profits use them as an example of a well run, successful and well respected non-profit.
