Our mission is providing food and more to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect.
In 2011, through our seven food bank locations and our mobile food bank, we provided food to over 446,000 individuals. Through October 2012, we have already served more than 460,000 individuals, a 26% increase over the same period last year.
FISH Food Banks operates seven fixed food bank locations and a mobile food bank that makes weekly visits to five additional sites. We aim to provide each client with enough food to make three nutritious meals a day for three days. No one needing assistance is turned away.

FISH food banks of Pierce Co Wa has been a blessing to my family. I have had the privilege to meet many volunteers through the years at the Sumner, Puyallup and Edgewood locations. Edgewood is unique because you can be a resident of anywhere in Pierce County to use it and you are allowed to go once a week. Unlike other locations you "shop" for the items you need and that your family will eat. I feel there is less waste this way, especially if the client or family members have special dietary needs such as low salt, low sugar or gluten free. The volunteers are cheerful and patient. There is even a waiting list to volunteer, so the community support is just extraordinary. There is on site help to apply for Food and Medical Benefits,
