FISH food banks of Pierce Co Wa has been a blessing to my family. I have had the privilege to meet many volunteers through the years at the Sumner, Puyallup and Edgewood locations. Edgewood is unique because you can be a resident of anywhere in Pierce County to use it and you are allowed to go once a week. Unlike other locations you "shop" for the items you need and that your family will eat. I feel there is less waste this way, especially if the client or family members have special dietary needs such as low salt, low sugar or gluten free. The volunteers are cheerful and patient. There is even a waiting list to volunteer, so the community support is just extraordinary. There is on site help to apply for Food and Medical Benefits,

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way to cut the wait time for elderly and obviously disabled clients.
