How truly wonderful to know that all the birds are truly loved and cared for. We have over 1400 birds and the guys are constantly building new flights. We are a 501c3 and receive no funding of any kind. We rely strictly on donations. It is all about the birds. We find it hard to get grants because most people only think of fur bearing animals and not our feathered friends.

I have been with FFF for two years and I never cease to be amazed. They are strictly 501c3 and no one takes a salary, and they receive no government funding of any kind. They work only on donations. The birds are all happy in their flights, flying freely and interacting with each other. Ron's knowledge and caring never stops. We need to get more people to help the birds, as it's all about the birds.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I don't know, Ron is constantly changing and improving things around the rescue as funds allow.

Birds are my passion. And to know that people actually abuse these beautiful creatures angers me to no end. Feathered Friends Forever is amazing. They truly love and care for the birds, their needs are met and then some. I admire Ron because no one takes a salary, it is all done for the love of the birds. There is no other funding except for donations. That's devotion.

Over the past 7 years I've watched the flock nearly double in size as more and more parrot owners faced various problems and had to place their feathered companion at the Rescue. Each one is treated with the same caring and love, regardless of size or circumstance.

Watching the happiness
when a parrot picks a new adoptive family makes the day for all the volunteers. It's even better when the family sends an email or comes back to visit and tells everyone how much they enjoy their new companion.

The most rewarding part is working with some of the severly abused or disfunctional birds and having that breakthrough moment when trust is finally established. Here's an example:

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

adopting one of their birds.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get them a full time PR person or 2.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting all the people and parrots

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all very friendly and knowledgeable - and not one of them gets paid! Everybody there is a volunteer!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make an even better life for their feathered friends.

Ways to make it better...

the TV station was filming it.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finding funding and more volunteers. Parrots require daily care and they need more support.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Send them a donation!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time
