Gracie's Closet, which is part of FYPH, serves foster children in the metro Atlanta area. I love helping foster parents select clothing for their children. I would highly recommend Gracie's Closet as a place to volunteer and/or make donations.

Fayette Youth Protection Homes and Gracie's Closet have been a tremendous blessing to our family. We have been a foster family for two infants through Fayette Youth and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff is fabulous to work with and Gracie's Closet has provided most everything we have needed for the babies. We are very thankful for this ministry!

I am a mentor to a foster child as well as a CASA. I was able to bring my teen to Gracie's Closet. "WOW! was I impressed," My teen was so excited. She was assisted by Becky in selecting outfits that were awesome. I have sent other foster parents, but this was my first visit. My teen left with a big smile and a large bag of beautiful outfits. She was so thankful
Gracie's Closet is a blessing to our foster children.
The Setting is comfortable, it frrls like a high end boutique.
Becky seemed to know just what is fashionable, and what the teen will like. I am so thankful to Gracies's closet for making our children in foster care feel special. (After all they are:):)
Thank- you Fayette Youth Protection Homes, INC.

This organization provided wonderful clothing to my mentee, who is in foster care. The outfits will last for the rest of the school year. She was made to feel speical and left with a smile, inquiring as to when she could return. It was a great experience for her.

Fayette Youth Protection is a powerful organization that Fayette County is privileged to have caring for it’s foster children in so many ways. From the easy intake of the children in multiple counties in need of care; to providing for so many of their needs like clothing, diapers, and Christmas gifts. Fayette Youth Protection has a network of FABULOUS volunteers that organize Gracie’s Closet, and a generous community of families that they communicate and coordinate to meet so many needs of these children. They are an asset and a God send to making fostering a little easier for so many in Fayetteville.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Providing diapers & clothing the night I took in the kids including a toy to make them feel more at ease. They received & disbursed to us baskets of fresh produce donated by local farmers. Many of these veggies have never been seen or eaten before & they grew to LOVE fresh veggies! Gently used books were provided to help a child reading below grade level exceed their grade level within the school year. . . and so much more!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more funding since the sky seems to be the limit to what they are willing to attempt to listen and meet ALL the needs of the kids in foster care.

Promise Place

What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?

The never ending blessings of reaching a child by giving them a respite from all the tragic experience they have had to endure in their young lives. Giving them a feel for what it feels like to be in a normal loving family environment where they are free to be a child and we experience it through their eyes.
