Fayette County Humane Society Inc

Issues: Animals

Location: PO Box 244 Fayetteville GA 30214 USA

Mission: The Fayette County Humane Society is dedicated to ending the needless suffering of unwanted pets through our aggressive spay / neuter program.  The fewer breedable animals in the community, the fewer unwanted litters.  We are dedicated to rescuing homeless animals in the community.  We test, vaccinate, and go one step further by having all our adoption pets spayed or neutered ( or make arrangements for spaying or neutering) prior to adoption, ensuring they will not reproduce and add to the overpopulation problem.
Programs: FCHS PROVIDES HOUSING, FOOD AND MEDICAL CARE FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS.  We do not have a shelter, so the animals stay in foster homes with our voluteers until we can find them forever homes.  We advertise available animals on our Web site and in the local newspaper.  We also conduct weekend pet adoptions at the Peachtree City PetSmart.

My family fosters cats for the Fayette County Humane Society. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started but I can now say that I am glad that I did. The volunteers in our organization are committed and truly care about each and every animal that comes into our adoption program. I am especially grateful for all the time they've given to reach out to me and help me take care of each and every issue that my fosters have had. I hope to participate for years to come.

I adopted my dog from the humane society, it was a very calm-organized and exciting process. I now volunteer on weekends and have a great time. The people are very friendly and caring.

Hard working many hours spent on finding ways to generate money to fund spaying, neutering, adoption of abandoned animals and endeavoring to make their lives appreciated and loved.

Every penny given to Fayette County Humane Society goes toward helping the animals. There is no shelter overhead, and it is run by caring volunteers.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

successful adoptions.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing animals find loving homes.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

people who genuinely love animals.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand its spay and neuter program and help reduce pet overpopulation.
