Farrington Foundation gathers interviews of people who have made unique contributions to preserve their surrounding environment. The interviews document the obstacles they have faced and surmounted in the conservation movement. These interviews help create stronger communities and encourages contributions to land trusts and watershed projects and increases innovative change to shape the future of conservation.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Small land trusts that don't have the finances to promote themselves. Farrington's interviews on the web at www.friendsoffarrington.org is a free service for these groups

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expect more involvement from the board of directors and increase the size of the board

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people involved are all unique and caring.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all working hard and many volunteer their time

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many small land trusts and document people who have made effort to preserve the environment all overthe world

Ways to make it better...

more people would have attended the fundraising event in Sept of 2008

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

fundraising

One thing I'd also say is that...

Farrington Founation is creating a unique niche by celebrating the accomplishments of conservation pioneers through the spoken word. The educational programs they are creating are new, different and growing

I am excited about the synergy of Farrington Foundation's oral history and conservation web radio projects. Farrington Foundation has been involved in land trust, public and private land issues and stories of important people. Hearing their voices on the Friends of Farrington website is very meaningful to understanding who these people really are and the wonderful places they are protecting. Thank you to Farrington Foundation for your pioneering work in telling the stories of conservation pioneers, leaders, local and national people and places.
