The purpose of FHSN is to help high risk children in foster care (aged 0 – 18) develop into healthy and successful adults. We intend to accomplish this through the provision of safe and supportive certified homes and families; quality programs and services to children (and their birth families where appropriate); professional, well-trained and caring staff; and a community atmosphere that encourages teamwork and cooperation among youth, families, staff and volunteers
Children, youth and families become well adjusted individuals making the maximum contribution to our communities
Direct beneficiaries per year:
Placed and successfully monitored more than 200 high risk children in our quality foster family homes. Three adoptions were secured, 2 sucessful emancipations from foster care. We provided our 11th annual Children and Families Christmas Celebration were more than 300 children and families were served. Provided PEI programs to 20 high risk African American boys ages 11-15 with very successful outcomes.
Geographic areas served:
Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties of California. We work specifically in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County with underserved African American Families
Foster Care recruitment, training and certification in Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties of Southern California. Placing and monitoring high risk children and youth in our compassionate and caring foster family homes until the goal of reunification, legal guardianship or adoption can be achieved. Providing Prevention and Early Intervention Programs to the underserved African American population of the Desert Region of Riverside County.
