EXIT 82 A TOMS RIVER THEATRE COMPANY

Went to see Thoroughly Modern Millie with this group last summer - it was excellent! The show was visually stunning, the singing and dancing was incredible. Every element of this show was wonderful. The scenery and costumes were beautiful and creative, the orchestra was excellent and extremely professional, the choreography and the dancers were just marvelous - we didn't want the dancing to end! We can not wait to see more shows with this theatre group! If you want to see a professional, exciting evening of theatre, support this group! You won't find a better show around!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all exit 82 events and performances... and love to participate as a volunteer! This group is so talented and they seem to thrive on community participation. Hey, over 1300 attendees in 4 shows last year! What a great first season. I can't wait for season two to commence!!! Peter

Congratulations to EXIT 82 for an outstanding debut season! I could not believe what 4 young, ambitious people were able to create when they began with virtually no budget. Everything from the scenery and lighting to the acting, dancing and singing was top notch! Everyone in the audience from young to old was caught up in the magic. Kudos to the company for providing sign language interpreters for one of their performances as well. I wish them good luck and continued success.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their ability to succeed despite great odds. They were so determined to bring more of the arts to their community no matter how often they were told it would be too difficult to do or how many obstacles they faced.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
enthusiastic, dedicated, hard working and fun!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
perhaps buy a building and expand their program to include classes. Who knows; the sky would be the limit!

It was an absolute privilege to be a member of Exit 82's inaugural season as a cast member in "On the Town." Everyone involved with the production was incredibly gifted, driven, and completely professional. The bonds I was able to form with fellow cast members, production staff members, and others involved with the company will not be forgotten anytime soon. While, sadly, the arts are frequently overlooked in the Toms River area, Exit 82 provides an opportunity for aspiring and seasoned performers to share their gifts and love of the theatre with the community. I look forward to the growth and development of this organization and highly anticipate becoming involved with this upcoming summer's production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie."

Exit 82 is a fantastic organization who successfully started a community theater in the Toms River area. They were professional, organized and a great deal of fun to work with making the community theater experience what it should be. I loved working with them and hope to do so again in the coming season. I have done community and paid theater and can easily say they are off to a great start. Would like to see them continue the musicals with a variety to appeal to all ages.

This was my first community theatre experience. Since it was in my home town, I wanted to be a part of it and see what it offered. The experience was great! I hope to keep in touch and support this company in the future. :-)

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
budget (but we handled that well).
One thing I'd also say is that...
we need to get an air-conditioned theater. LOL

As a volunteer, donor and avid lover of all the arts, I applaud the wonderful job Exit 82 Theatre Company did in their production of "On the Town". I brought my entire family and extended family to see the show and it was a heart-warming experience for all! What better way to celebrate Toms River and experience the talent it grows then to support such a wonderful group. I am so looking forward to helping in the 2010 production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie".

I had a wonderful experience with Exit 82. For such a populated area, arts exposure in Ocean County is minimal, and the majority of youth have never experienced live theatre. Exit 82 brings of high-quality entertainment that can be enjoyed by all. The entire production staff is young and innovative, and they truly know what is necessary to put on a professional production. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this company is its universality. All ages are encouraged to audition, and this past year's production of "On the Town" featured high school students as well as adults; both seasoned performing veterans and newcomers to the stage. Everyone is encouraged to get involved, from directors, to stagehands to costume designers - all of the magic comes off flawlessly through the dedication of the volunteers.

Being a part of Exit 82 last year was the highlight of my summer. I was given the opportunity to work with the most talented, fun, young group of people imaginable. Also, "On The Town" was the epitome of a great, quality community theatre production. I am very excited to spend many more summers with Exit 82 and wish them nothing more than the greatest success.

I have been involved with Exit 82 since its birth. I have volunteered my time at every fundraiser and as assistant stage manager of "On The Town" donated about 250 hours. Every second spent with this organization was worth it.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Everyone involved was willing to help out in any way they could. The best example being one cast member holding a lead role as well as playing in the orchestra when the pianist could not make it to the show!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
The staff and volunteers were dedicated, passionate, professional, and most of all very talented. The production staff was also a very young group of individuals, but they never dropped the ball.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
This company put on one of the best community shows I've seen with a very limited budget. With ten million dollars Exit 82 would have a broadway-worthy production!
