I have served on the Eva's Village board of directors for several years. I applied to join the board of this model non-profit in Paterson, NJ because I was impressed with the comprehensive nature of the anti-poverty programs and the positive results achieved. Eva's Village provides a 365-day soup kitchen, shelters for men, women and women with children, addiction treatment programs, medical care, job counseling, tutors and more, plus transitional and affordable housing. Eva's Village strives to provide all services necessary to result in positive and permanent change for men, women and children living in poverty and addiction. At Eva's Village, I am able to see the efficiency in the management of the programs and the direct and immediate results to clients from volunteer efforts and from donor funding. I receive great personal satisfaction from serving this wonderful organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Direct testimonials from clients, including formerly addicted people recovered and attending college.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Increase funding programs to make the services of Eva's Village available to more needy people.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fiscal responsibility, integrity and wonderful results in the loves of individuals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Everyone, from executive director to marketing staff, volunteer coordinator and program directors.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand the highly successful anti-poverty programs already provided.

Ways to make it better...

There was enough funding to expand the very effective programs at Eva's Village to fight poverty and addiction.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Meeting increasing needs from the community and providing funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Every independent review has found Eva's Village to be an extremely reputable and effective non-profit.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
