Excellent source of information on very controversial topics such as drugs and their effects on the human body. All information provided is top quality and as an EMT i have used this website to find counter treatments and information on how to deal with some drug related cases. Great Information and truly helpful.

Eroiwd may have saved my life. As a teenager, I experimented with psychedelics, and the effects and dosage information provided by Erowid kept me safe. Eroiwd is providing balanced, unbiased information that gives individuals the information they need to make safe decisions for themselves.

I first got into contact with Erowid in 2008 as soon as my interest for psychoactive substances emerged. I've always been an information seeker and unlike governmental resources Erowid provided the factual, unbiased and reference backed-up information I was looking for. As a matter of fact Erowid compiles what must be the largest data base on psychoactive substances on earth. Since that year Erowid as been my primary resource for information on psychoactives and the experiences they invoke. Such information was proven quite valuable on many occasions, enabling a careful use of psychoactives by knowing their real effects, such effects duration and the correct dosage. With Erowid at hand I've been able to answer my doubts and advise many friends and acquaintances thus avoiding many potentially risky situations. Besides harm reduction the factual information on Erowid has also allowed me to support my view that drug prohibition is nefarious for the human civilization and with it I was able to tell the real story on many private debates thus, little by little, improving the public's awareness. By archiving and publishing lots of scientific literature Erowid becomes an important resource for citizens which aren't professionals on pharmacology, chemistry or neurology and can't access such information through other means. In the last couple of years the Erowid crew was partially unable to match the ever increasing speed with which new drugs, dubbed research chemicals, appear. I mean they weren't able to provide the usual information on dose and effects they have for better known compounds. The reasons for it are much understandable: lack of scientific studies concerning those drugs and the few number of experience reports available. The Erowid crew could try to carter part of this issue by incentivizing the report of experiences through their website (e.g. with new interface allowing comments and follow-ups). Then the collected data could be processed to yield some preliminary, though much helpful, data. I understand such would require qualified man-power and resources this organisation doesn't have and this is one of the reasons why all those who benefit from Erowid should consider donating, becoming volunteers, or help the organisation in some other way.

I sincerely appreciate the time and dedication involved in gathering and building such a wide, yet detailed scope of factual, usable information. Erowid is an invaluable online resource center with information that is hard to find anywhere else. Searching for specific topics is easy and their site is very user friendly. Thank you for the resource. I will be sure to pass along this gem to other researchers.

The voice of rationality and reason is always helpful and EROWID is just that. They fill a void and provide leadership in an area full of lies and distortions from many quarters. God save EROWID!

I am a technical person by nature and I appreciate good information. The information on EROWID is unbiased, accurate, and very well organized. Their library is huge and covers a fascinating range of drug research and news. Given the legal complexities and overall climate of fear around the subject of drugs, it is amazing that such a coherent voice is available anywhere.

Erowid is an island of academic information in our world of misinformation about psychoactive substances. It is an invaluable source of unbiased knowledge that is easily accessible to anyone who is looking to know more about the drugs they put into their body. All too often, false facts and rumors are spread about psychoactive chemicals as if they are truth. For some, this can mean the difference between life and death. Erowid has the real facts about what effects drugs have and what the consequences of use and abuse can be. Not only is the organization a useful source of quick reference information, but it is also a vast library for peer reviewed journal articles, books, first hand experiences, and history about human kind's long fascination with mind altering substances. I have no doubt that Erowid plays a large role in harm reduction and I know personally that the organization has inspired many people to become life long learners and academics.

For more than three years I have been using Erowid (at least once weekly) to inform myself about the multitude of psychoactive substances in the world. Reading the documents, articles, studies, experience reports, and off-site links provided by Erowid, I have become better informed about drugs and consciousness altering techniques. Erowid is a fantastic example of education, harm-reduction, and general interesting reading.

For many years Erowid has helped me gain knowledge about the plants and chemicals around the world and around me. I have been learning from erowid since i was 15 (I am now 25) and have been guided through the high school years of experimentation and through college. I remember being in high school and learning nutmeg would alter me but that the active dose wasn't far from the overdose or lethal dose. Key aspects I have learned include safety, dosage, and others experiences i have incorporated into my consciousness. One person accidentally harvested tobacco without gloves and had the most powerful visionary experience he had ever had. I have read reports that have determined whether or not a plant/chemical resonates with me and the experiences i seek. Most importantly i have been able to direct others to the site for information and share knowledge i have gleaned from Erowid. Thanks Erowid!
