In an age where personal experiences with drugs are STILL illegal, it's very comforting to see a source of unbiased useful information on drugs. Whilst governments are still bitter about people experiencing a heightened/altered state of consciousness, Erowid saves lives by giving free and reliable information on a topic marred by the stigma of government propaganda. I'm glad the internet mostly allows freedoms of speech, or else I'd still believe marijuana could give me reefer madness.

Erowid probably saves lives, and definitely has prepared me for my journeys whenever I try something new. The site is a comprehensive and accurate resource on a topic where many sources are biased and incorrect "LSD eats holes in your brain" or incomplete (as much as I love wikipedia, it doesn't capture the human side of taking drugs). As an emt as well, I wonder how many tragedies or even little discomforts could have been avoided by people checking erowid before experimenting themselves. As for feedback, the site is pretty ugly and mildly difficult to navigate, but the content is top notch.

This site is a main source of reliable and accurate information on drugs on the web. It provides indispensable information on harm reduction, dosage, effects, law and chemistry of almost any substance that has psychoactive effect on humans. In my personal experience, Erowid helped me to increase my knowledge about such substances on many occasions. Quite often it provided me with information that reduced potential self-harm I could have inflicted myself in my ignorance. Wast quantity of reports from users provided useful tips, and scientific articles helped in getting some insight on chemistry of drugs. I would highly recommend this resource to anyone who is even remotely interested in psychoactive substances.

Erowid has helped me get reliable, accurate information on subjects where such information is not readily available elsewhere. Their database is huge and uses both science for facts and personal accounts to give you an idea of what to expect. Erowid is a no-nonsense wonderful place for free information.

An excellent, reputable website that has saved my skin on numerous occasions and under multiple pretexts. The information is invaluable, and it benefits a very broad spectrum of clientele, from parents curious about a certain prescription pill, to drug-addicts in search of CORRECT and THOROUGH information on a specific drug. Websites like this can save lives.

When it comes to drugs, one can never be truly sure that the information he or she is getting is accurate, unbiased, and reliable. So often the drug warriors will overplay dangers and inexperienced youth will underplay or misunderstand them. But with Erowid, i know i'm getting unbiased, reliable information that i can count on. There is no other resource, web-based or not, that could compile this amount of accurate, useful, and reliable data on drug use and its effects. Thank you, Erowid, for providing people with the information they need to be safe and informed.

I am an occasional user of some recreational drugs (Marijuana, Mushrooms, MDMA, DXM) and Erowid has been an extremely useful tool for me. Personally, I will say this, Erowid has not encouraged my drug use at all (I would have proceeded anyway without the knowledge) and has in fact, lessened it. Erowid helped me learn about the potential dangers and information about these drugs and connected me with other past and current users to keep me safe. Mind you, I am a very occasional user (Marijuana a few times, Mushrooms twice, MDMA 6 times, DXM 3 times, nothing within the last six months) and I believe Erowid has kept me in check to a degree with accurate, non judgemental information, as opposed to nearly every other "informational" site out there, which primarily use scare tactics and false information to prevent use. Erowid has likely prevented significantly more drug use and made current users smarter about it. Look, I've got a well paying job, I'm college educated with good grades, a house, a car, a girlfriend, and a good life, and I thank Erowid and it's creators for helping me keep it that way. Now I have been able to have some amazing, world changing experiences without repercussions, because I did it with full knowledge of what I was doing. I will now never look back and regret not going through with experimenting in my youth and think, "well, what if I didn't try that? What if I didn't go to that rave and have the night of my life? What if I were too scared because I wasn't informed?" I've never had a bad drug experience, never gone to the hospital, and never had terrible side effects, so I'll never look back and think "Wow, I wish I would have known about that before". Thank you, Erowid, you have done wonders for me.
