As a small business owner and South Park resident, I am proud to support ECOSS's many efforts in my community. I love the fact that they can bring businesses and my neighbors together on so many different levels, from their work with "Duwamish Alive!" habitat restoration to their Powerfull Neighborhoods outreach, to reducing the use of chemicals in our neighborhoods many small businesses. They are actively improving the vitality of my own community by helping residents save resources and money, improving the health and impact of local businesses, and improving the health of our immediate environment. Best of all, I see ECOSS bring neighbors, business and government interest together in a uniquely cooperative way. I feel like the limited resources and time that I can give to ECOSS are helping to make tangible and lasting improvements in my own backyard.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Physical improvements in the Duwamish River habitat work and our little gems of Cesar Chavez Park and the new (almost done!) skate park. Healthier local business cllimate that keeps my neighborhood viable and hopeful.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Maybe host local business, resident, and government agency progress/agenda meetings. All of their events function somewhat that way already, but you can never have too much of the cooperative crossover that ECOSS fosters.
