My son's first experience was with an ESL Workshop 2.5 years ago. At first he was unsure if he wanted to particpate, even after we had signed him up. After the first week, he could not wait to go back the following week. Since then, he has been involved in several productions and with each one, his self-confidence and skills as an actor have grown. And, I have seen the same thing happen to other children as well. The people who run ESL are both talented and caring. Their love for the theater is obvious and inspiring and is why they continue to grow the organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching my son grow in confidence both as a person and an actor.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting to know the people who run ESL and understanding their vision.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

in a word, incredible!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build their "field of dreams" and bring theater to many more individuals.

I've been participating with Enter Stage Left Theater for almost my entire life. I love watching it grow and prosper, and to see how far it's come over the years. This theater has been a huge part of my life, from first learning acting skills to working around the office every week. I'm always impressed with the work and dedication that goes into not only the productions, but also just managing the theater's day to day needs. I want nothing more than to see ESL become even more successful, and will do everything I can to help. I think it's a great asset to the community.

I started with Enter Stage Left a few years ago during their Summer stock program and it was one of the best experiences I've had in theater. So I kept going back, and surely enough, every show was better and better. The people there are amazingly talented and the instructors are accommodating and absolutely brilliant. It's an amazing place.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The summer stock musicals. Absolutely brilliant, so much fun.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make the shows be up to the participants, have some sort of a voting committee.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people I've met and the exponential growth I've experienced.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

helpful, experienced, and had brilliant visions.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

BUILD A THEATER!

Ways to make it better...

Sometimes the cast lists brought around some drama, but that can't be avoided.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

monetary barriers.

One thing I'd also say is that...

once Enter Stage Left gets the money they've been dreaming of, everything will be the way we've been wanting it to be, and it will be as perfect as anyone could hope.

I have worked with the Enter Stage Left people for years now. They do an AMAZING amount of theater and other artistic activities with a few, really dynamic and devoted staff. Thumbs up!

Enter Stage Left Theater, Inc. is truly the best non-profit community theater I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! My career has taken me to many states in this country. Where ever I go, finding a local theater is paramount! I've been actively involved in theater for over 30 years. Enter Stage Left is the best of them all. Why? Because I was immediately made to feel like my contribution mattered. In many local performing arts centers, new people are told they are welcome, but not made to feel welcome. With ESL Theater, I became part of an enthusiastic group of veterans and newbies that has enriched my life. Never have I committed myself to the success of an avocation as I have with ESL Theater - and that's because they so clearly love what they do and are committed to enriching the lives of young and old with their services. This non-profit truly caters to budding artists from age 3 to 103! There's something for everyone! Their staff is professional and engaging. They have a clear vision of growth for the future, and have the desire and drive to succeed.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

working with children. Prior to my involvement with ESL Theater, my volunteer arts work was strictly with adults. ESL Theater has allowed me to expand my horizons and teach me to engage kids from K-8th grade in the arts. A wonderful and unique experience!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the diversity of people I have had the opportunity to work with in just one short year. Adults and kids from all economic levels and levels of talent both on stage and behind the scenes. Such diversity is a rare gift that I treasure through ESL Theater.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

in one word...PASSIONATE! When you meet a team of people who are truly passionate about what they do, it makes all the difference in the world! Everyone comes from different backgrounds and offers their unique skills to contribute to ESL's growth.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

meet it's vision to create a performing arts center that would include classes and opportunities to showcase visual artists, musicians, singers and actors of all ages. ESL Theater has a realistic five year business plan in place to achive this dream.
