I am a survivor of marital rape. I first attended a EVAWI Conference several years ago. I was most impressed with the caliber of the Conference, the speakers and the topics. This forum brought together all disciplines who deal with victims of sexual and interpersonal violence. It was great to meet others who worked in this field. EVAWI raises the awareness of the problems of sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking to the community at large. Violence against women and children is a global pproblem and is direclty linked to physical and mental helath problems in our families. I applaud this organization for their outreach and education efforts and I implore all to help EVAWI in any way that they can. I dream of a world where my grand daughter will not have to live in fear and can walk in freedom. Until that time, it is great to know that EVAWI is there to keep this topic in the forefront.

EVAW International is in a class of its own because of its quality training and education programs for global players with a role in ending violence against women. The organization's greatest strength is its inclusive and comprehensive approach, and convening a broad array pf professionals to share best practices.

I first met the EVAWI staff a couple of years ago when I submitted an article to Sexual Assault Report. The staff are incredibly easy to work with and extremely knowledgable!! In 2010, I spoke at the EVAW Internaitonal conference and was totally amazed at the quality, content, diversity, and effectiveness of the presentations. The EVAWI staff are amazing and really understand their mission and vision. I recently joined the Board of Directors and as I am getting to know the organization even better, I must say that I am honored to be a part of such an ethical, compassionate and diverse organization.
