Founded in 1985, we provide employment and independent living services to individuals with disabilities. We envision a society that embraces all its members as full partners in their community. Our goal is to assist individuals to become productive tax paying citizens. Our mission is to create and support opportunities for adults with disabilities and disadvantaged seniors in making choices to live, work and enjoy life with dignity and respect. For 23 years, we were a division of the Foundation for Educational Achievement under the name of Community Options. Effective March 1, 2008 we became a free standing non-profit organization named Employment & Community Options.

Working with Employment and Community Options has given me a chance to help others become more independent and sociable. It gives me great pleasure to go to work because I know I will be able to make a difference in the individuals that I work with every day. The people I work with are happy to be in the community and when they have a chance to volunteer they tell me how much they like to work.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the way we have the opportunity to have training available and great staff who work to help one another.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make sure individuals we work with would have the opportunity to speak up for their needs on a regular basis.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
they want to make everything work the good of everyone.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
happy and ready to work with eagerness.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
reach so many people with disabilities and possibly have places for them to work and earn a living on a regular basis.
Ways to make it better...
we had more jobs for the individuals we work with so that they can prove their skills.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the funding gets cut and continues to face hardships.
One thing I'd also say is that...
the people I work with really appreciate everything we put our heart into because they know I care.
