The Empire Recovery Center (ERC) is a licensed residential program providing alcohol and drug treatment, as well as detoxification services for northern California. It also has an outpatient program that provides individual and group counseling regarding substance use disorders. The ERC has 42 beds for men and women who want 30 to 90 treatment in a social model setting, which follows the Twelve Step program emphases. As a non profit, the ERc welcomes volunteers and the community to support the programs it provides, and is always eager to receive donations of money, time, effort, and goods. The ERC has a board of directors made up of professionals and individuals in recovery, and has contracts with 5 northern California counties as well as California Corrections, the Veterans' Administration, and California Indian Alcohol Recovery Services. The ERC is housed in a historic building in Redding, Ca lifornia, and the stories of recovery are amazing. Former residents have achieved years of recovery and have gone from being indigents to productive members of our community. Visitors are always welcome.
