Eden Village Camp

I personally think that Eden Village is the best place in the world. At camp, they made being Jewish easy and fun, we never had to worry about keeping kosher, and the shabbats were amazing, I think that it is the one place that truly made me believe in my religion. Also, the food is amazing. I'd gone to a few camps before EVC, but a big problem for me was the food... at Eden Village, the food was never a problem, and it was even cooler that we got to help make the food. Everything about Eden Village, from the people, to the food, and the experiences helped me grow a lot. Last year, when it was time to go, I cried because I realized that I would have to wait another year until I could come back again. Really, if you want a great summer camp, stop looking, you've found it.

Eden Village is beyond a summer camp. After four years of different summer camps, I went on Eden Village because I hadn't found a camp that i had really enjoyed. At Eden Village I experienced the best three weeks of my life! Everything, from the food, to the accommodation, was outstanding. I have never met such an amazing bunch of people as I did this year on camp. The staff were brilliant and the campers were some of the nicest people I knew. I also found it very special how so many people from all reaches of life were gathered in one amazing place. I came on camp from the UK and the staff did absolutely everything they could to make my trips to the airport and back as easy as possible. Every day on camp offered new adventures and experiences. Whether it was rock climbing, or hiking up the Appalachian trail, the activities were always well planned and exciting. Eden Village was also very unique in the way it embraced spiritual values. Shabbats were definitely highlights for me. One final thing which I believe definitely deserves a mention is the food. The food on camp was absolutely delicious. It was all fresh and was healthy and nutritious. Every morning the bread was made on site and the goats were milked. we then used the milk to make cheese which was unlike any other cheese I have tasted. I know this review sounds very commercial and cliché, but I really do mean all that I have said and I could not recommend the camp more highly to anyone. It was utterly outstanding in every way.

Wow! Eden Village Camp fills me with such hope and nachas. The staff, volunteers and participants are some of the most talented, spiritual, inspiring people I've met. EVC is going to enrich the lives of some of the luckiest kids on the planet, as they learn the deep spiritual truths about the planet and all life on it.

Amazing organization with such strong ethics and leaders. These folk empower the inner beauty in us all, have such love for community and mother earth and are as kind as they come. I have thoroughly enjoyed being their neighboring camp, collaborating, and learning with them.

Eden Village=Hope and Fun. We live in a crazy world full of distraction and disconnection. Eden is a place where children can tap into their truth while having the best time of their lives. Eden Village sits at the front line of relevant Jewish Aliveness. She waters our precious ancient Jewish seeds of stewardship of the land and connection to the earth. Her methods are a fusion of tradition and cutting edge green ideals. YUM! I volunteered in Eden Village this summer and got to witness first hand that her actions and doings do indeed match her beliefs. Lawns of grass have turned into rows of diverse organic food. Compost bins are popping up everywhere. Livestock are moving in. People learning how to wild harvest herbs and edibles from the forest! and on and on and on.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Grow to be a landmark, front line institution, with camps near several cities, that are dedicated to healing and fixing the most imminent, relevant and urgent needs that we as a human species are facing AND doing it in a colorful, beautiful fun way.
