DSN advocates for the protection of rights for my nephew who has DS. DSN's efforts have raised awareness about DS issues at the local and state as well as national levels. I fully support the aspirations of this organization.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... local and national news broadcasts.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... seeing the DS community uplifted in the eyes of the public. DSN reminds our country about not just the needs but the benefits of supporting the DS community.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... encouragers where encouragement is needed most.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... make the necessary changes to improve the lives of our DS families.
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... I had more time to volunteer.
  • If I ran this organization, I would... need more support.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... financial resources.

I was a Client Served & Support this group since most of the funds raised go towards research for the down syndrome community.

DS Network is such an amazing organization. With all the cuts to EVERYTHING theraputic for our special needs children, they stepped up to the plate an are offering so many events to help in the growth and development of our kiddo's, with little or no cost. The parents and professionals involved are the most giving and charitable people I have ever come into contact with. Thank you all for your help and support, I only wish I would have found you sooner. Cheer's to a great future.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... Everything they do is for the benefit of Down Syndrome research.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The support on I can get 27/7.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... The most genuine and caring of individuals wearing their hearts out on their sleeves.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Help build an even brighter future for the Down Syndrome community.
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... There were more events on Sunday's.
  • If I ran this organization, I would... Keep doing what they do in remembering that Down Syndrome effects all races and religions and we need to be supportive of everyone and their needs.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Who has the cuttest picture, and where to place it on their web site.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... We should have a contest to see who has the best way of raising contributions for the buddy walk. Thus far I believe Jason is the winner. Way to go Doc!

Down Syndrome Network is an amazing organization. The board members in this organization are incredibly well-informed and fantastic networkers. This group provides social events, educational events, national news, local news, as well as medical talks and information. This group supports DS research. The connecting of so many people with so much info. makes it a progressive group.

Down Syndrome Network has been there for me and my family right from the start! My son, Jacob, was born with Down syndrome in April, 2006. We were shocked and saddened, and didn't know what to do first. Someone told me to call DSNetwork, and I'm so grateful that I did. Through this group, I have received so much helpful advice from other parents. I've been to educational seminars on a wide range of topics that are all helpful for raising my son. I've found a solid community of people to support me and for me to support as well. This group has been a huge help for us in so many ways!

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... The top notch speakers they bring into town to educate and support the families with DS children. Also, in the way DSNetwork promotes acceptance of individuals with DS in the community at large.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... I've enjoyed the family fun events where we can get together with other families and meet their children as well. I really enjoy the pride I feel about my son in a community that really promotes acceptance.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Excellent! All are very caring, strong, and helpful. It's a close knit group in which we all support each other.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Open up a center to support the DS community. This center could be a place for these individuals to go for therapy, socials, support, etc. It would be great!
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... My experiences are great. I think they'll get even better as DSNetwork gets more funds to support their dreams of an actual center for support.
  • If I ran this organization, I would... do all I could to promote it everywhere I went.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... the budget cuts right now, and the tough economy. We have big ideas and great people willing to do them, but the money isn't there.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... DSnetwork not only supports people with DS, but also includes others in the community in their workshops, etc.

This group was fun to watch in the Arizona State homecoming pareade. They looked like they were having so much fun. The children were so cute.
