I couldn’t agree more with the reviews previously posted. Because of the effort put forth by our students, staff, and supporters, we will continue to grow and accomplish our mission. I am proud to be a part of an organization whose dedication, determination, and concern for follow citizens is exhibited on a daily basis.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

K-12 program, GED, workforce development, arts & technology

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not change anything concerning the program. I believe we need to find other avenues for funding. As a new corporation, it is hard to qualify for grants. Next year will be better.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind, caring, and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

totally ELIMINATE the need for our waiting list! People need help now & we could respond immediately to quality of life issues and educational needs of our communities. We could also increase the amount/frequency of “Challenging Minds” activities.

Ways to make it better...

more funds were available but it is still a great experience.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

reaching clients who need our help and funding issues.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The reviews are greatly appreciated!

My favorite classes are math and computer skills. I’m learning a lot about computers and I have my own email.

Being in this program is really fun. I learn about math and reading. I have fun playing the games. My favorite thing is art. I like to draw and they have contests. I would like my program better if my friends had it too. The people are nice.

I love the challenging minds series. Some of the challenges are scheduled and some are pop-ups. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes art or needs to develop their computer skills. I include my kids whenever I can.

This nonprofit will be a savings grace to many. The part I appreciate the most is the technology program. Clients can earn essential resources according to their participation levels. To me, that is a major motivator, an incentive for individuals, especially adults, to finally commit to learning, to get their GED, to take development classes.

I enjoy my work with Don’t Forget the Kids. The founders/staff are very forward-thinking and willing to try new technology. I particularly like the DFTK Network – a private area of their site where clients communicate, check email, and interact with other clients and staff members.

With all the recent talk about problems with the American schools and our future leaders, I felt inclined to make a statement about this nonprofit. What impressed me enough to donate was their insight. That’s not to say they totally saw this coming but they’ve done their research and understand the problems many low-income Americans face. By removing the problems or making a “work around,” they are enabling people to succeed. They realize that technology must be included in any successful education solution and they are one of the very few to offer such a program.

Needy Americans will now be able to concentrate on education without the worries of day care, class and work schedules, and transportation. In the past, I would have had to donate to several organizations to make this happen. Now, I give to one.

I like the program and think I will stick with it. I tried before to do it in town but I don’t have a car. I took the bus when I could but I got behind and quit. I want to get a good job when I finish this.

I take classes online. I like them but what I like best is I don't have to find a ride to get there. I don't miss any classes.

Don't Forget The Kids is a visionary charity, who has outstanding and dedicated Board Members and staff. They realize that America's future success is dependent on increasing the educational level of all its citzens. The United States educational system and student performance is declining. DFTK has concluded that a new, creative and innovative approach to education is what is needed to "right the ship" and allow the US to compete with other industrialized nations. They realize that utilizing technology in an educational environment is the key to America's future success. The online education programs that I was selected to test are exceptional. Although these educational programs are very challenging, they are presented in a entertaining manner, which is conducive to comprehension and retention of the material being presented. Don't Forget The Kids is the charity that will help lead America out of the Dark Ages of Education and into the 21st Century.

Although not currently involved in the results of the programs, I will continue to test and evaluate proposed educational courses for inclusion in their program and fully expect to assist with tracking of their students progress in the future.
