The epidemic of companion animal overpopulation and homelessness is tragic. Domino's Cat Rescue League does an amazing job rescuing cats and kittens who would otherwise be abandoned and is a tireless advocate of spay/neuter. This is a no-kill cage-free shelter whose staff and volunteers provide care and TLC to the resident cats and kittens. There is an aggressive adoption program, but there are just not enough homes for the available cats and kittens. As a regular volunteer and Board Member, I am optimistic and hopeful that we can educate the public about the necessity of responsible pet ownership (including spay/neuter) and the countless rewards that are derived from giving a shelter animal a home.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

None at the present time.

I adopted a "special needs" kitten from Domino's House. She was born with a slight neurological anomaly. She was rescued from a life out on the streets and brought to Domino's with her sisters. Her mother was also rescued and spayed. She never would have survived out there in the world. Right now, there are other homeless cats out there who are hungry, suffering and injured. Places like Domino's House find these cats and help them. They also play a pivotal role in spaying and neutering cats, the ultimate solution to the overpopulation that is responsible for so much suffering and death.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the comfortable, homey environment for the cats. Its peaceful and pretty.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and devoted people. They give up the most valuable thing that we each possess - time.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

open a spay/neuter clinic.

I volunteer a large amount of time at Domino's house. Everyone that works there and volunteers there give everything they have and then some to provide a comforting clean loving envirement for these wonderful cats. We desperatly need funding to continue saving lives. The answer is spay and neuter and that takes money. It's just such a very rewarding experience.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing animals that would have been left out in the cold adopted to loving families.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring concerned loving and generous people that are willing to do anything to make things better.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

spay and neuter more animals. Make things easier to close up during cold and bad weather conditions. One more paid staff member.

I have adopted two amazing rescue cats from Domion's House. They are aamzing! The staff at Domino's House truly saved their lives when they rescued them off the streets and provided them a safe place to live and medical treatment. The staff and volunteers are tremendously compassionate and caring people. I was truly impressed with everything the organization does to rescue cats/ kittens and to help control the pet population in the area.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Spay/Neuter all the stray cats and provide low-cost spay/neuter for all those that can't afford to fix their cats. Additionally they could provide medical treatment to all those abandoned cats/kittens cast aside from our society.
