The Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Inc.'s(DVCC) vision is that all people in our communities are safe from the threat of domestic violence in their lives. DVCC is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse through Counseling, Education, Advocacy, Safe Housing and Empowerment (C.E.A.S.E.). The values that underlie all our work and decisions are empowerment, respect, integrity, and compassion. We believe that violence is a learned behavior and a social issue that crosses all racial, religious, and socio-economic boundaries. We are committed to providing an environment that enables individuals to make decisions about their own lives regardless of our hopes and fears for them. The foundation of our work is the conviction that every person deserves a life free from violence. We subscribe to a supportive/educational-counseling model that emphasizes empowerment and enhances a person's ability to make decisions in their best interest and ensure safety for themselves and their children.
