I have had the unfortunate luck of dealing with Kris on multiple occasions, she is a rude nasty woman that will bully to get her way speak to you like your an idiot and also lies and slanders businesses and people when she's not given her way. I pray that she's only like this to the people that cross her path and not the animals but this is definitely not a group I'd recommend to anybody which is sad because I sternly believe every dog deserves a home but with so many amazing adoption groups out there I'd stay away from this one.

After my home visit I was told the dog may jump my fence so I would need to get it heightened. I called the organization to explain how I would not leave her outside and that she would be outside with me at all times for walks, bathroom breaks, and playtime outside. The owner insisted that I was a liar--my call was just to see if they understood my intentions for this dog and see if this was something that they would recognize and still adopt the dog out to me. I initially was talking to a voicemail recorder for about 20 seconds then the owner quickly picked up the phone already with a nasty attitude without saying hello she snapped at me and said "let's be honest you will NOT be with this dog 24/7 while she is outside." She then began to raise her voice and not listen to anything I was saying--she continued to talk over me, call me a liar, and finally she hung up on me. When I called back hoping to speak with someone else or thinking she may have realized that she overreacted. She began to curse at me and "tried" to intimidate me by telling me she was the owner and that she would never adopt out a dog to me. I then realized this was not the organization for me. The owner does not have to worry about adopting out a dog to me because I will not tolerate someone yelling and cursing at me. All I was trying to do was explain my situation. This is why many pet rescue organizations have issues adopting out dogs. That is unacceptable and was the worst customer service experience EVER! I would like to give them 0 stars but you have to give them at least one:(

While visiting pet supplies plus in Toledo Ohio we were immediately drawn to a charming laid back beagle mix named lucy , out for display with the Dogworks Rescue Group. We were going to purchase a dog from a breeder, but at that moment it was clear, there were plenty of perfect dogs out there that needed homes. We immediately started the adoption process to give Lucy a home. At the time, we felt the joy of bringing Lucy home and giving her the home she never had. But, unknown to us at the time was the hidden benefit and joy in the form of her relationship with our 8 year old Golden Retreiver, Shadow. Shadow had never had the companionship of another dog, he was getting older and starting to struggle getting up and moving around. All of a sudden Shadow started to play with Lucy, countless hours of wrestling around and chasing each other through the yard. Shadow seemed to be reversing in age. To this day Shadow has lost weight, springs to his feet in an instant, and is the happiest dog ever. Lucy is also one happy dog. She has her human parents, her 8 human sisters, her brother Shadow, and her kitty sister Grace ( who hates her guts, but hey they'll grow to love each other!!) Adopting a rescue dog was the best thing we could have done, we are so happy with Lucy and so glad this group exists.

The Great!
