My non-profit organization, Pets Forever, has included the “Be a Tree” program to help local children learn about how to interact with unfamiliar dogs. We have given this presentation in a variety of settings (ie., schools, gyms, businesses, summer camps) to a variety of different aged children. The feedback has always been extremely positive. The kids just love the presentation and appear to really learn something from it. I highly suggest this presentation to any community or group that is trying to educate children on how to interact with dogs and ultimately minimize the chances of a child being bit.

I believe Doggone Safe and Be A Tree are valuable resources to the community.
I have volunteered my time to present the Be A Tree program to children in Brookings, Oregon, USA. The children get really excited participating in the program and learn much about dog body language/behavior.

Children are learning how to be safe aound dogs including their own dogs and puppies. They are learning to ask before petting a dog.

I love Doggone Safe and I love volunteering for them. I believe it is the best dog bite prevention program out there. It is fun and interactive for the kids and the parents learn how to effectively read their family dog's body language so they know when it is time to intervene. It makes the whole family proactive - preventing bites instead of just being reactive after a bite has already occurred. My private clients have found the materials and information extremely helpful in preventing and addressing child/dog safety issues.

Parents often tell me how much this has helped them and how much they have learned. The children really enjoy the pictures and games; especially when they practice being a tree. My private clients have told me how happier their dog is and how respectful their children are of their pet's personal space.

Do more marketing and try to get more exposure in the media.

I have used their Be A Tree Program for teaching classes and groups of children and their parents how to approach a dog. Also, I have used the Power Point slide show to help parents and children understand how to tell if a dog they either meet or own will be willing to interact with them.

I would make the information available to a wider market.

As a professional dog trainer who has given numerous Doggone Safe presentations, I feel it is simply the best Dog Bite Prevention program available.

It is easy to adapt to suit any age level from Kindergarten to High School.

The feedback I have received from students and teachers
has always been positive, with teachers often telling me how beneficial they found it personally.

This is a great program!

I am a veterinarian and I find this organization to be invaluable. I share the website & information on it all the time with my clients especially those with children.

Doggone Safe has helped me to understand behavior problems that I was confused about. We need more people to know
about this sight/organization so that our children & families can be safe.

Keep up the awesome work!
Tracy

Learning about behavior problems that I didn't completely understand.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Encourage them to reach out to more veterinarians. One way to do this would be to be part of some of the big CE meetings in the U.S.
