We connect, engage, and empower people touched by diabetes.

We believe no one touched by diabetes should ever feel alone, because together we become stronger and have the power to generate positive change in ourselves and our community. We provide platforms where people with diabetes and their loved ones can connect and have an open dialog about their experiences with this chronic condition. Instead of looking at the disease, Diabetes Hands Foundation seeks to understand, connect and energize the millions of people living with this condition.

Target demographics:

People touched by diabetes: those WITH diabetes as well as their loved ones, in the US and all over the world.

Direct beneficiaries per year:

Every year, more than 2 million people receive support and information about life with diabetes through our work.

Geographic areas served:

TuDiabetes.org (in English), EsTuDiabetes.org (in Spanish); Big Blue Test; Diabetes Advocates

Being diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic is frightening. Once you are done at the doctors office or hospital you are left at home, with a ton of questions and very little answers. Sure you can search online, but interaction and support from actual people, those dealing with the same things you are, is what really helps. Thanks to the Diabetes Hands Foundation support like that exists 24/7. While there may be other resources, I have yet to find more comfort, welcome and information than I have from them.
