Desire Ministries has been quite a blessing to our family. Last year I signed Bethany (our daughter) up for horse camp and left a deposit with Kristy. I was surprised at how affordable her camps were and amazed at her vision. A couple of weeks after signing Bethany up, my husband lost his job. Even though the camp was incredibly affordable, we just couldn't find a way to pay our bills and horse camp.
I can't tell you how devasting it is to realize that you have to explain to your child that she is no longer able to attend. Especially after hearing her excitement about all she was going to do. It crushed my heart, I couldn't do it. I went back to the books and tried to find money somewhere~I couldn't. I called Kristy and explained our situation. She was very understanding and willing to sent back our deposit. She mentioned that she might be able to find someone who would be willing to help pay for Bethany to go to camp. I was encouraged and when I hung up the phone, prayed that God would somehow make a way.
Not long after, Kristy phoned with amazing news. Someone had agreed to pay the rest of the balance so that Bethany could attend. I can't tell you what an amazing moment that was for me. I was overwhelmed by the generousity of that person. Bethany could attend after all!
Bethany had the best time ever. Every day when I picked her up she had so many stories to share with me. She LOVED camp! I am so grateful for Desire Ministries and would highly recommend it. Thank you Kristy and all of you who help serve this community! You make a difference!

Kristy is an amazing instructor, exhibiting her passsion for horses as she teaches My two daughters were involved in the Horse Club after school program while they attended Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Both daughters served as summer volunteers to her Horse Camp last summer. They had a
great time. They love Kristy and the enthusiasm she has for children and the passion of the care of horses!

Kristy was also my daughter's 5th grade teacher and fellow collegue, as I taught with her at CCA for many years, until she decided to branch off and start Desire Ministries Full time.

She is a very caring, compassionate and committed woman! She is determined to use this ministry to impact children and adults that come into her program. She is fully committed!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give her all the money she needed so that she could expand her stables and renovate and be able to purchase and care for additonal horses!
