The dedication of Mr Mathew and the entire staff is so heartening and encouraging. Outstanding. there is a need for many more such organisations that will uplift the society in a sustainable manner.
I have known DEEPALAYA from close quarters since the bigining. It had an humble start with few slum children at Kalkaji. The sincere hardword and dedication of its members and staff and the vision of its leaders have paved the way towards an organisation which it is today. It has done yeomen service in the field of child development. The magnitude of the task undertaken by it is really great and it has brought the fulfilment of several dreams of many downtrodden children who otherwise would never have seen the corridors of education. They really deserve awards and recognition which I am sure will propel them to do greater task in the future.
I got a chance to interact with Deepalaya when my daughter volunteered. I am amazed with their work, especially in education. They have set up quality schools to provide education to slum/underpriviliged children. waslso impressed with their home (and School) for homless kids at Guspethi. The children seemed to thrive in a clean, loving, nourishing and nurturing envioronment. Even the various employees that I interacted with appeared personally committed to mission of Deepalaya.
We have been involved with Deepalaya for last 15 years. This NGO have been working for the upliftment of the poorest people living in slums by providing them good education to bring them into the mainstream of the society. I wish them all the best for working sincerely for this noble cause.
My mother is a teacher in Deepalaya and it is through her that I have come to know about the organization. My experience of the school is that it is sincerely devoted to its goal of educating slum children, especially the girl child. The school takes special interest in encouraging parents to send their children to school and also provides them with vocational training to help them find a job. My mother thoroughly enjoys the experience of teaching these children and she feels that she is contributing substantially to the needs of our country by virtue of her job at Deepalaya.
DEEPALAYA'S work in the field of promoting education of the poor and underpriviledged children and women empowerment is highly commendable.
This NGO is the best NGO in India.Deepalaya is a HOPE for helpless children. It is good for our society.I always with Deepalaya.
What you see at Deepalaya is the result of a dedicated, selfless team committed to a noble cause. The vibrant faces of the children at the school is a reflection of hope, probably what you see in 'Slumdog Millionaire'. In an era of 'anything can be bought', the team at Deepalaya demonstrates Giving is nobler than receiveing. The integrity and honesty of the team is praise worthy. I am sure that the last penny of my small contribution reaches the target group.
i was impressed by the efforts taken by Deepalaya for the orphans. the infrastructure and the environment was more impressing than expected.
Deepalaya is a great organization and Mr. T.K Mathews , who heads the organization is totally devoted and has done great wonders with children in general and the public at large.Being indirectly associated with Rotary, I have been reading a lot about the good work Mr. Mathews is initiating via Deepalaya. I regularly get Deepalayas newsletter and am very impressed with all the work the organization is doing, at the level and scale that it is doing and how it is impacting so many lives by bringing about a turn around in life styles due to their guidance , training and exposure. Given a chance someday I would like to work as a volunteer with this great organization. Their contrbution towards training of children with special needs is commendable.
