I know, there are many organization in our country which are good at office work and can impress anybody to get sympathy and other materialistic things. But during my stay in DEEPALAYA, I got a chance to see their ground work and so surprised to see the commitment form a level-1 worker to senior employee of organization. They are making the life of so many deprived children not only by sitting in their offices but by going in the streets, slum areas. One of the best example of this initiative is one of their projects "EDUCATION ON WHEELS". In future I would also like to contribute in this organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

4 PLACES IN DELHI. 1. SHALIMAR BAGH 2. HAIDARPUR 3 WAZIRPUR 4. BADHOLA

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not say it change but I should say addition, there are still so many areas which are worst developed so try to expand in those areas. And try to find out real problem of uneducation and then work accordingly.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their employees don't care about the timings of their job and personally interested in the work.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I met with the supervisor of project, faculties, helper boy, bus drivers.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Recruit some more senior employees who can make strategies to tapped untouch area and deal with some real time challenges.

Ways to make it better...

I could have worked for few more days and in some other parts where this organization is operating.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fund problems and parents' reluctance to send their children for education and also the mobility of village people which badly affect the education of a child.

One thing I'd also say is that...

They should talk to those students who have become successful by their initiatives and use them to convince other people by giving their own examples.

My personal experience has been through their website, news letters, and their develomnetal activities heard and read from the like minded friends, media and promotors. What I understand is that Deeplalya has developed into a major force to uplift the children of urban rural and under privilaged strata of the society with special reference to their eduction perticulary the girl child. My best wishes for the good work being done by them and keeping the transperancy on and briefing the donors about their activities. They have been very vibrant and ever inreasing their strength to be able to do more for the deserving and downtroden children. It is really a matter of joy that I am part the endeavour to help the cause that is fruitifying into big tree with the passage of time. I have no doubt about their success in the coming years. My commitment to do whatever best through personal level, the friends and relatives of mine. All the best. Keep doing well keep the smiles beaming and bigger for those who are not so gifted by the destiny. Thanks

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do the the work beeing done by them with vigour and selfless motives for the cause they are commited.

Ways to make it better...

if i was in Delhi and could participate in their programes and progress

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Sustaining the growth along with ever increasing pressures to do more and more at greater speed.

One thing I'd also say is that...

May they get more selfles donors with bigger money bags and will to help the cause both through money and guidance to promote the cause

Deepalaya does a great job in bringing children from lower socio economic strat in life to schools and helps to keep them there, in face of any economic turmoil in their parents and gurdians lives. In India typically the girl child is the first casualty to such changes in economic status, and it is so nice to see these girls get an opporunity to have a regular life of a child and enjoy small pleasures of going to school and getting an exposure to education. Deepalay brings a ray of hope in these childrens lives and a reason for them to smile. These girls when they grow up will understand the importance of education and will be instrumental in ensuring that their own children also get educated and thus will influnce the future of the society. By giving me an opportunity to sponsor three of these beautiful and innocent girls, and keeping me posted with their yearly progress I feel I am involved in their lives (even though in an indirect way) and I get an opportunity to give back to the cause I really care about. My best wishes to Deeplaya and hope you keep up the good work and spread the light of knowledge to the darkest corners of the world till the whole world is filled with the light of education.

The sincere efforts of the team at Deepalaya in taking education to the underprivileged children of India is greatly appreciated. As a donor it is very easy for us to write a cheque and forget the whole issue because we think our responsibility ends there. But with an organization like Deepalaya, and with the logistics involved in proper management of the funds as well as running the schools, it boggles the mind to think that our contribution is just a drop in the vast ocean in comparison to the work that the entire Deepalaya team are doing. I extend my sincere appreciation and thanks for the wonderful work Deepalaya is doing and we are sure that the under privileged children will definitely get an opportunity to increase their knowledge and look towards a bright future and a better life.

Hi this is my second year of association with the DEEPALYA organization. I would like to mention what I have found impressive about this organization. 1. the quality of education provided to children: given the limited means I found on my visit to the school that classes were full, teachers were busy, there is flavor of cultural exposure apart form academics, the school also provides Computer education. 2. Relationship with the sponsor: the Deepalya’s system of keeping in touch with the sponsors is good, I receive greeting cards from children - progress reports etc are also sent to sponsors. 3. The Attitude of the staff is supreme, I have found in my interactions that the staff is well motivated, cordial and displays a positive attitude. 4. the Deepalya organization I feel is Always introducing something New , for example the singing society of the students recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary. Over all I feel very satisfied with engaging and sponsoring the activities of Deeplalya organization and wish them all the best in the future. Aman 9999219698

My wife and I have been sponsoring under privileged children with Deepalaya since 2001. In 2005 we visited the Deepalaya organisation in New Delhi and our sponsor children and saw first hand the wonderful work they do, which is always done from the heart and with a smile

the affection and the love you get from the children studying in Deepalaya School. The dedication with which teachers work in the School. These underprivileged children just need an opportunity and they can be the shining stars.
