Reviews for Deborah's Palm

Rating: 5 stars

I've taken a number of workshops at DP and will continue to return for more. I enjoy the breadth of topics covered, and have been very happy with the quality of the services and informative workshops offered. It is a beautiful place, tastefully appointed, which is also inspiring when one's spirit is in need of uplift! A unique and worthwhile resource, don't hesitate to treat yourself to a workshop or fun evening there.

Deborah's Palm is indeed an oasis. And just as unexpected in the hyper-careerist, high-cost Silicon Valley as is water in the desert. I walked in as a desperate, unemployed and emotionally fragile woman. I was welcomed warmly by a volunteer who looked like a high-society dame. Instead of feeling judged I felt reassured and hope sprouted.

This woman's center is a place for everyone. Homeless, wealthy, employed, disabled, unemployed, lesbian, straight... political, apolitical are all welcomed here with respect. Everything from art classes to showings of radical movies on women's issues. Incredible volunteers, staff and the director, Katie is extra-ordinary!

I am grateful to be a fully employed donor and fan of this remarkable women's center.
