My name is Mary Ann deGorgue and I was a patient at Deborah in July of 2012. I had aortic valve replacement surgery and also a pacemaker implanted. The care I received from the doctors and nurses was beyond anything I have ever experienced in a hospital of any kind. I'm 70 years old, had two children and numerous orthopedic problem, most requiring surgery. I love Deborah!! My cardiovascular surgeon was the best as was my cardiologist and the hospitalist. They are all wonderful and I would not even consider going anywhere else, not even for a second opinion. It's been a little over a year since Deborah saved my life. I feel wonderful and will be eternally grateful.

I have been at Deborah on two occsions, once for a second opinion--Deborah was extremely helpful, but my local cardiologist had not sent all of the requested information ,which made it more difficult for the doctor at Deborah to give a full evaluation. On the second occasion I went for a periodic workup and found the hospital to be most amazing--the cleanliness, friendliness and timeliness with which they performed the procdeures that were scheduled. It was actually a pleasure to be there.

I have been going to Deborah for years to get annual check ups on my heart, and have always had a pleasant and professional experience -- at least as pleasant as being in a hospital can be! A++ hospital, would go to again.

As a patient, never having to worry about a bill, while receiving absolutely first-class care, is great! I truly think it helps me recover faster. The doctors, nurses and everyone I meet in the halls are just great and seem to really like working there!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't change this hospital, I would change all others to be just like DEBORAH. President Obama, are you listening? This hospital could be the model for Healthcare reform!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The care and expertise.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind, caring and knowledgable

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Hire more staff, expand it's facilities and help more people

Ways to make it better...

It was closer to my home

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The cutbacks at the state level.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This center is a true resource in our area and should be promoted widely.

It is a shame that this website is being used as a tactic for personal vendetta’s. Anyone who really knows Deborah can recognize who the culprits of these negative posts really are - disgruntled - bitter - former employees. The fact of the matter is that the two individuals being attacked are very hardworking, dedicated men. They believe in Deborah and it’s future and face the challenges head on with Deobrah as their first priority, not themselves. Deborah has always and will continue to provide great care regardless of of such useless attacks. I know many people, including myself who have received top notch care and I will continue to support this very worthy charitable organization.

Deborah Heart and Lung Center hasn't billed a patient in years. The amount of dedication that the staff has to its patients regardless of the ability to pay is heart warming. This hospital is truly a great place to be taken care of.

We first became acquainted with Deborah Hospital when my mother was diagnosed with a heart condition in February of 1988. Living on a fixed income my mother could not afford the co pays on not only the hospital but the doctors to care for her in northern New Jersey. On a suggestion of a neighbor we contacted Deborah Hospital. Our first visit began before 9am and did not end till after 6pm but we knew what was wrong with mom. She went through a battery of tests and found out not only that her aortic valve was not functioning properly but it could be fixed. Moms surgery took place on July 28,1988. The doctors said if she did not have the surgery she would have not lasted the year. My youngest child turned 6 months old on that day! Throughout the years Deborah has monitored and encouraged my mother. They diagnosed sleep apnea and suggested treatment, in 2008 it was decided that a pacemaker would benefit mom. She underwent surgery and is enjoying helping to plan my daughters wedding. The standard of care given throughout the past 22 years has only improved! The nurses, doctors, techs, staff treat us with kindness, respect and encouragement on each and every visit. We travel over two hours each way for moms appointments! It is worth every minute of the trip! To simply say it my mother trusts the doctors at Deborah Hospital with her life!

We have been going to Deborah since 2000.We went to see Dr Ferliece for my husbands heart, she found shadows in the x rays and sent us to the lung doctor.he found cancer and sent us for tests and after then discussed it with us they removed the upper lobe.He went thru checkups and later they found the heart needed stents, they were put in, later they calcified. They were cleared out.His heart started to give him more problems he then had a pace maker put in.he has had 3 in all now and also in the other side of the lung they had to take two parts out. He is doing fantastic Dr Sena and Dr Murphy are his doctors now.We are blessed to have Deborah in our lives. Barbara and Bill Moreau

I was a patient in Deborah last year and my husband was there the year before. The care we received was outstanding. We would certainly recommend this great hospital to anyone if they need care for any heart issues. My husband has also been a tireless volunteer for this organization for the last 10 years. Care and love are two of the things that most stand out for this hospital. I love the friendliness and cleanliness of Deborah Heart and Lung. The hospital is located in the the beautiful Pines of New Jersey and that leads to the serenity of anyone visiting the area.
