I contributed to Deborah's last capital campaign after careful thought. Not only does the hospital provide awesome cardiology and pulmonary services to its patients (even those who have no insurance!), they always make sure that it is the very best care available. In today's times it is unthinkable that in our country people have a hard time accessing the very best care available. Deborah does this over and over and over again. When I looked at all the different charities I could donate to, it was clear that Deborah had earned my dollars many times over.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Change nothing except spread the word throughout the country. This is a great model for today's health care crisis.

Deborah Heart and Lung Center hasn't billed a patient in years. The amount of dedication that the staff has to its patients regardless of the ability to pay is heart warming. This hospital is truly a great place to be taken care of.

It's impossible to discuss quality care in our neighborhood without hearing numerous stories of the many individuals who have been assisted by Deborah Heart & Lung Foundation. I myself know 4 people, all in different stages of their lives, who would not be here today if it was not for the talent, dedication and compassion of those working in this hospital. The nurses and doctors always go the extra mile for their patients and the fact that good healthcare comes before your ability to pay for it is something that is entirely absent throughout the rest of the country.

I have been volunteering for 15 years at Deborah Heart and Lung. My expierence started when my seven year old son was was treated at Deborah 15 years ago. My son is now 22 years old and just graduated from College. Without Deborah my family and I would not have been able to afford the healthcare that my son needed at the time. I am not a wealthy women and the only way to thank the doctors and nurses is to volunteer every week in the hospital foundation. I drive 30 miles each week to give back to the hospital that saved my sons life. I am 75 years old and I will continue to volunteer so that someday another family will be able to receive the gift of life from Deborah Heart and Lung Center the same gift my son received 15 years ago.

We first became acquainted with Deborah Hospital when my mother was diagnosed with a heart condition in February of 1988. Living on a fixed income my mother could not afford the co pays on not only the hospital but the doctors to care for her in northern New Jersey. On a suggestion of a neighbor we contacted Deborah Hospital. Our first visit began before 9am and did not end till after 6pm but we knew what was wrong with mom. She went through a battery of tests and found out not only that her aortic valve was not functioning properly but it could be fixed. Moms surgery took place on July 28,1988. The doctors said if she did not have the surgery she would have not lasted the year. My youngest child turned 6 months old on that day! Throughout the years Deborah has monitored and encouraged my mother. They diagnosed sleep apnea and suggested treatment, in 2008 it was decided that a pacemaker would benefit mom. She underwent surgery and is enjoying helping to plan my daughters wedding. The standard of care given throughout the past 22 years has only improved! The nurses, doctors, techs, staff treat us with kindness, respect and encouragement on each and every visit. We travel over two hours each way for moms appointments! It is worth every minute of the trip! To simply say it my mother trusts the doctors at Deborah Hospital with her life!

We have been going to Deborah since 2000.We went to see Dr Ferliece for my husbands heart, she found shadows in the x rays and sent us to the lung doctor.he found cancer and sent us for tests and after then discussed it with us they removed the upper lobe.He went thru checkups and later they found the heart needed stents, they were put in, later they calcified. They were cleared out.His heart started to give him more problems he then had a pace maker put in.he has had 3 in all now and also in the other side of the lung they had to take two parts out. He is doing fantastic Dr Sena and Dr Murphy are his doctors now.We are blessed to have Deborah in our lives. Barbara and Bill Moreau

I was a patient in Deborah last year and my husband was there the year before. The care we received was outstanding. We would certainly recommend this great hospital to anyone if they need care for any heart issues. My husband has also been a tireless volunteer for this organization for the last 10 years. Care and love are two of the things that most stand out for this hospital. I love the friendliness and cleanliness of Deborah Heart and Lung. The hospital is located in the the beautiful Pines of New Jersey and that leads to the serenity of anyone visiting the area.
