i have been with the Dance institute of washington for over a little bit of 3 years now. i came here having an objective just to complete my 3 years in ballet for college, but what i am leaving with is much more. i leave with not just outstanding technique taught by extrodinary teachers but also with a passion for ballet and other techniques that i have never taken as well as dance disciplen and muscle memory. not having that much experience starting off here was actually the best thing that could have brought me thus far because starting off from scratch and getting the proper technique is what was needed for me. i not only connected to my trainers` as teachers but i felt like they were apart of my growing experience and as my family. i really do appreciate everything that you have done for me and the only way to you show you that it was worth all the hard work is to invite you to a show when i make it!

what i have enjoyed most about my experience with this nonprofit is the personel committment of the teachers not just as teachers but like an older sister or brother. i enjoy the funny moments in the bathroom or in the studio when we are having practice.
