Mission: We are committed to teaching our members the life skills they need to succeed through music education and performance.

Programs: The crossmen drum corps is a program that assists young people on the path to become wonderful human beings through the participation in the arts. The crossmen provide music education and also life-lessons for their alumni to carry with them into their future lives as adults. Students learn important life skills including leadership, goal setting, and conflict resolution. The drum corps includes opportunities for students to exercise their potential not only as musicians, but as complete human beings. There are 158 members who participate in the drum corps. The crossmen hold experience camps in the early fall each year where approximately 521 students ranging from the ages of 14-21 come together to learn what it is like to be a member of a world class drum corps and audition for a spot if they so choose. They spend a weekend of instruction with our professional staff with lessons in both music and visual skills. The crossmen host an experience day each june where 100 or more young people come to interact and receive music education from both the members of the corps as well as professional staff.

During a very difficult time in my life, the Crossmen provided me with an outlet to pursue my passion for music. The instruction I received stayed with me to this day and was a part of me throughout my time as a professional musician. Beyond the musical involvement, the life lessons I learned with my time in the Crossmen is invaluable. I often say basic training in the Marine Corps was nothing compared to the 1993 season on the road with the Crossmen. I made life-long friends and became a better person, professional and human being because of this amazing organization. There is no more nobler place to donate my time and money than with the Crossmen.

From a young age I was very big in to music. When I joined The Crossmen, I was able to improve not only my musicianship but it taught me so much more. I learned more through my time in the Crossmen than I had leading up to that time in my life. Discipline, team work, musicianship, hard work and dedication...These are just a few traits I learned during my time with the corps. these traits would propel me to a very successful military career which without the Crossmen, I would not have been able to do. The people, the administration, the quest for success through building positive citizens is what an organization is all about!

As a professional that is a former beneficiary of this great group's work I can't say enough how it helped me grow as an individual and as a professional. As a youth it taught me discipline and team work. As a young professional it gave me a environment that allowed me to grow artistically and as an educator. Most of all I learned to not settle for what was comfortable but to push for excellence.

Crossmen Productions does an amazing job servicing their community of San Antonio. The opportunity they offer music students is top-notch. They love that is put into making their organization run is inspirational.

The struggle to fund this non-profit organization, as with most non-profits, is always a challenge. The work they do to make things happen is never-ending.

Any help would always make a difference!

The Crossmen are living breathing examples of an organization that has created a culture of personal enrichment for their members channeled through the music arts activity. They have placed the emphasis on personal improvement and teamwork over winning trophies and have a devoted following of past members and fans nationwide. I look forward to their continued success within the Drum Corps arena.

I marched with The Crossmen from 2004 to 2007. The friendships, connections, and acquaintances that I gained from my experiences with this organization are countless and still continue to manifest themselves all the time! I never could've imagined all that I have gotten from being a member, and now, being an alumni. There is a "Crossmen way" of living your life and for those of us that have had the privilege of being taught how to do so, we are forever grateful. This organization not only shaped my desired profession but also imparted me with invaluable knowledge that I could not have gotten elsewhere.

I love the Crossmen. They are the only drum and bugle corps I ever really wanted to be in, and I had a chance to march in a few of the most memorable shows in the history of the drum corps.

I fell in love with the Crossmen when I was a middle school student. I would practice with the intention of earning a spot in the Crossmen, spending hours upon hours memorizing everything about the Corps; their history, how they held their instruments, and how they performed on the field.

When I finally had a chance to march with the corps I was 19 years old. I spent three summers marching soprano with the corps, practicing as hard as I could because I knew I was a part of something bigger than me...I was part of a team that's sole purpose was entertaining the audience.

Years later I am a high school band director. I send my students to the Crossmen any chance I get because I know that they will fall in love with the corps just like I did. There is no better drum corps in the activity than the Crossmen!

BOOTS!
