We have received notebooks, art supplies, science poster boards, wipes--all the essentials for making school a go! Wonderful!

My building has been invited to visit Crayons to Classrooms for the last 2 years. I can't tell you how much my students, co-workers and I appreciate this opportunity. The volunteers are always extremely kind and helpful. As a teacher, I am often required to buy materials out of my own pocket and this helps me a lot.

As a teacher in a large urban district I am used to spending my own money on classroom items. When my Principal asked me to go check them out because we were going to get a chance to shop there I was sceptical. I went and listened and waited for the catch, no catch we would "shop" for free!. Every shopping trip was a great experience and my students really benefitted. One of the best experiences was being able to give a student with no backpack a backpack to carry his stuff in. For many of our students they are just shocked that someone was willing to give them school supplies. I also use many of the items as rewards for students that are doing the right thing. Shopping is a great experience too as all the volunteers are so helpful and kind. This year I changed grade levels so the experience was different. What a great help to get items to help me stock my new classroom of students!

Crayons for Classrooms is amazing! It has helped the students in my classroom by providing them with supplies that would not have otherwise! They are the nicest people too!

I have volunteered and shopped as a teacher. As a volunteer I am treated with respect. I have suggested other people to work there as a volunteer. As a teacher I have received so much that I use in my special needs classroom for students K-3 in Dayton Public Schools. Today I gave two of my students hats that I got from my last trip. I also used material samples to make scarecrows to go with our story of the week. We used glue sticks from the shopping trip and wet wipes from our trip. This is a great organization and one that is needed in our community.

I would personally like to say what a blessing it is to be able to go to a facility that appreciates what teachers do everyday. I teach inner city 4th graders. It is very hard for many of them to afford their school supplies and Crayons to Classrooms allow me to supply what they need for the classroom. I cannot thank Crayons to Classrooms enough for allowing this special place to exist for teachers to shop. Regina

I teach grades 9-12 at a local high school, Trotwood-Madison, and I cannot thank Crayons to Classrooms for my "shopping trips"! My students and myself have reaped the benefits to our classroom with the pencils, paper, notebooks, note pads, crayons, glue, etc. We used these items to "Pay it Forward" to our elementary students in our "buddy" program. The high school students make small paper gifts for their individual "buddies" using the supplies mentioned above. These small tokens of appreciation would not have happen without the generosity of Crayons To Classrooms! Thank you for the supplies.

Crayons to Classrooms has proved a variety of materials for my third grade students. Books and the basic school supplies are just the beginning of the materials to choose from. Crayons to Classrooms has truly been a blessing for my students.

This program allows me to assist many of my students who cannot afford school supplies. All of the items that were donated were passed on to students who needed supplies in some way. The program also provided me with a means of support and commraderie among my fellow teachers. If a new teacher or substitute comes into the building, the suplies I have becomes a mens to help support them in their new enviroment. I certainly hope that you will continue this program. It will serve many teachers who find themselves in the same situation. Thank you for making my work aa bit easier.
