Cookies for Kids' Cancer is by far one of the best non-profit organizations on the planet. Why? They empower moms, like me to get involved and it's so easy! You don't have to plan a 5K, kiddie carnival or gala to give back. Hosting a bake sale is easy, fun and a great way to get all your friends, family and neighbors involved with very little cost and stress. CFKC makes the process so turnkey with their bake sale kits and wonderful staff persons (2). Not to mention the cause and they fact that 100% of the bake sale proceeds go directly to pediatric cancer research. I love the mission and I love Cookies!

This organization is AWESOME! They are well organized & have all the information on their website to help you host a bake sale. Having access to that information made organizing the sale seem simple. Our youth group is a small group and they were excited to be able to be involved in such a worthy cause. Working with Cookies for Kids' Cancer has been an uplifting experience for our youth group and church community. We are blessed to have been able to participate.

We have hosted two bake sales for Cookies for Kids' Cancer and from my experience with them, I do not see anything that needs to be changed. Both sales went very smoothly, from the organization of it to sending in the funds with it was over. I do not think anything could have been simpler.

Pediatric cancer is grossly underfunded. In order for us to have an impact on the lives of children with cancer, there needs to be RESEARCH. Cookies for Kids' Cancer has empowered everyday people to make a huge impact on the world of pediatric cancer research. The organization has made huge results with the help of people simply baking cookies and selling them in their community. The concept of local bake sales brings communities together and allows the entire family to be involved in changing the world.

I have personally seen countless children in my community fall victim to pediatric cancer, Neuroblastoma specifically. I see the fight that researchers have with the lack of funding.

I could change this organization, I would allow them to have more publicity in the news and media.

If you want to support an organization that can really make a difference, CookiesforKidsCancer.org is for you! This relatively new charity (4 years old) has broken new ground in all areas of fundraising as far as I’m concerned. There is no stone left unturned…no amount too small or too large to be contributed… no contribution you can make of time or talent that goes unnoticed. What’s more compelling is that 100% of the profits go to the cause. Pediatric Cancer better watch out, you are on full notice that YOU WILL BE STAMPED OUT…GONE…ERADICATED…at the earliest possible moment. This group of dedicated individuals will continue to fight to the finish…if you want a winning team you found one!

seeing how others react to the story of how Pediatric Cancer is so underfunded for reseacrh and finding cures for these specific diseases that affect only children. People need to find their voice for this outrage...and with CookiesforKidsCancer.org they can.

In my experience planning fund-raisers, I've never worked with such an accommodating organization. Cookies for Kids' Cancer has a web site filled with resources (signs, templates, graphics) to assist anyone who would like to take on their cause and pull together a successful event. They kept in touch with us as we began our planning process, and were great with follow-up after the event. Particularly useful was the ability to set up our own personalized donation center online.

I've seen the results of Cookies for Kids' Cancer at work right here in my own home town -- through the progress made in treatments for children's cancer at our Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them access to more matching donations so that EVERY bake sale could receive matching funds.

Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children in the US. Approximately 1 in 300 children will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20. 1 in 4 of those children will not survive. Survivors face a 2/3 chance of long-term health effects (e.g., major organ damage from the cure, secondary cancers, learning disabilities, etc).

As childhood cancer is considered "rare", a significant amount of research funding is raised by private charities. The National Cancer Institute contributes around 3% of its Federal funding for childhood cancer research, and big pharma invests virtually nothing into childhood cancer research as it would not be profitable.

Cookies for Kids Cancer is a wonderful organization that raises funds directly for childhood cancer research. Overhead costs are keep low by using volunteers to operate bake sales. All funds are directed at research into a cure.

As the dad of a 14 year old son who I lost to childhood cancer 3 years ago, I've learned that research is the key to better treatments and a cure. I wholeheartedly support Cookies for Kids Cancer.

I came across Liam Witt's story a while ago and was in awe of the kindness, strength, courage of this kid but also his mother, who instead of be depressed and sad decided to not only help her own son by raising funds for a cure but at the same time to help many other kids battling this disease. After Liam passed away, his mom could have stayed home sad and mourning the loss of her son, she had all the right in the world to do that, instead she decided to call to the fight against cancer. I admire Gretchen's effort to end this horrible disease. CFKC raises money for childhood cancer and 100% of the funds go to research and they are an amazing organization, with lots of support and with a heart-wrenching story behind it all that serves as the fire that has ignited that fight against childhood cancer.

I follow CFKC because I believe they do a great job in dedicated funds for childhood cancer research and I have witnessed the numerous grants they give in order to find a cure.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't make any change AT ALL.
