I have visited CSC on several occasions as a volunteer for the Women's Leadership Initiative of United Way, and I have had contact with several administrators at CSC. I have also attended several CSC events. I find the staff professional and enthusiastic. This is a group highly committed to addressing the needs of children in the most dire circumstances. Our community needs CSC and should do everything it can to support its efforts for expansion.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Getting information about the organization to WLI and receiving detailed responses following a project funded by WLI. CSC gets high marks in accountability. We knew who benefitted from our gifts and how they benefitted.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

My impression is that CSC is very well run. I know they have been selected as a model for the SafeStart program. I hope they can eventually expand to serve even more children.

I have been involved as a volunteer to help organize the fund raisers for Community Services for Children for several years. I have also had the privilege to read to some of their children at one of the day care centers. Children are so important to me and their early development is crucial so an organization like this that helps to promote the well being of ALL children regardless of financial status and especially of the low income families gets my hat and support!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

As a single mother I experienced the cost effective day care for my daughter with an organization started by one of the founders of this not for profit.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try and help more and with proper funding they would be able to do that.

I'm a volunteer with Community Services for Children in the special events (fund-raising) area. The work CSC does is most impressive. Working with dis-advantaged infants, young children, and their parents to help them start school ready to learn is so important, and saves money and pain in the long run. I proud to be able to do my little bit to help make this happen.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Visiting classrooms and seeing the results as reported in annual reports and other forums.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more discretionary funding so they can choose how to best allocate the funds to the needs of the infants and young children and parents in their programs.

I have volunteered at Community Services for Children for many years and have been impressed by the dedication of the staff and the benefits to the children and families participating in their services. I believe we need to support early childhood education and also contribute to CSC annually.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Reading to the children, doing art projects with the children and hearing success stories from parents about their children.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it larger so more children could be served.
