Our CIS person is willing and able to help the students at our school. She listens to their problems and puts their families in touch with the services they need. I had a student who was in serious need of dental work. Our CIS person scheduled a mobile dental lab for this students and several others from our school. That was valuable service to that student. She also helps families afford glasses, and puts the student in touch with people who can help. She also invites groups of students to her room for lunch groups where they socialize and she models good behavior.
