nobody is perfect, the same goes for institutions. This museum is nice but....the staff are OK, not exceptional; the art/collection/exhibitions are OK, not comprehensive or exceptional in most cases, and can't compare to say that at Cleveland or Cincinnati. In a nutshell, it is a nice local art museum, with a good historic building and an interesting educational space, but not more than that. If you are a Columbus resident and you are passionate about art, this is ok but not anything approaching excellent as the others reviews suggest.

The (unfortunately) few times that I have visited the museum have been wonderful experiences - the exhibits and permanent collections are wonderful. The staff is fantastic!!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

helpful and friendly. They gave me the information I needed about a specific exhibit.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

add more art to the already great selection they have and they would be able to "host" more exhibits for the public.

I feel our museum is one of the best local attractions in our city, and an unbeatable value. The exhibits are fascinating and always well done. The people are friendly and informative. I especially enjoyed the Monet exhibit. I bring my daughter to the family events on Sunday and she loves them. I recently entertained a special client from out of state, and purchased two passes for him and his guest as a thank you gift. They toured the museum and said it was the highlight of their trip... what a great perk to offer someone for a very reasonable price.

I absolutely love the cma. It's permanent collection is so vast and the exhibitions are amazing. I was an intern at the cma a few years ago, but have been a supporter of the museum for as long as I can remember. It's a great organization with wonderful people at its helm.
