Mission: Color Me Empowered is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering at-risk children and improving neglected communities through the implementation of civic art. We believe that giving children the opportunity to improve their immediate community will enable them to see the power of art and the ability within themselves to bring about positive change in their environment.
Results: To date, we've completed 10 public art projects with inner-city children. We're working to finish 5 more public art projects in 2012.
Target demographics: low-income school-aged children in the DFW area
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 500 students, completed 6 public art projects, and helped improve 5 different areas of Dallas
Geographic areas served: DFW, Texas
Programs: After -school and summer programs.

I've been on the Board of directors from the very beginning and every year, we get a little bit better at what we do and manage to serve more and more children. We're growing and making a real difference in the Dallas area! It's an exciting time to be a part of Color Me Empowered.

Color Me Empowered is working really hard to make a difference in the lives of children in the Dallas area. We believe that art has the power to heal and unify communities because we've seen it happen! We hope that you'll get involved with us.
